If you had the choice, would you take:
- Big balls
-or-
- Big muscles?
Let that be the mental analogy you work with between these two T-boosters, because that’s essentially what you’re deciding on in the P6 Xtreme vs. Animal Test match-up: Increased T vs. Increased muscle gains.
But… aren’t balls technically muscles, kind of?
Don’t get smart with us, boy.

Round 1: Formulas
Technically, cats are animals, and we’re not sure we want the T levels of a cat (unless it’s a Lion). And as far as we know, the only product that has rightfully earned the moniker “Xtreme” is Doritos. So P6 Xtreme has big shoes to fill there. Let’s see how it works:
P6 Xtreme makes you beefy & smart.
By mixing T-boosters & nootropics, P6 Xtreme takes a layered approach on enhancing male health—from your balls to your brains. And this all hinges on the 5 health categories targeted by this formula:
- Testosterone Boosters. Ashwagandha, Tribulus, Ovine Placenta.
- Focus & Mood Support. A-GPC, Zembrin.
- Estrogen Regulator. Agaricus Bisporus.
- DHT/Prostate Support. Saw Palmetto, Stinging Nettle.
- Sexual Health/Energy. Tongkat Ali.
What’s nice to see is that the “Testosterone Boosters” encompass the heaviest category in this T-boosting formula. Too often we see experimental formulas fail on the T-boosting end by overemphasizing their secondary hybrid parts.
P6 Xtreme, on the other hand, does a pretty good job at spreading out its parts accordingly for effective 5-in-1 male-enhancing bio-activity—yet, for a T-booster that calls itself “Xtreme”, this T-booster is missing all of the extreme T-boosters: D-Aspartic Acid, Zinc, Mucuna Pruriens, Vitamin D, & Boron.
What we’re seeing is good, but we’re surprised to see none of the BIG boys on this “Xtreme” P6 roster (Hell, even P6 Black has D-Aspartic Acid).
Animal Test cranks up the inflammatory muscle gains.
But not necessarily through testosterone.
Which may seem sort of shitty considering that we’re supposed to be comparing testosterone boosters, but cool your jets & hear us out:
- Animal Test supports building bulging muscles through the unique, semi-controversial method of increasing inflammation during exercise. Through inflammatory, muscle-building fatty oils such as Arachidonic Acid, Animal Test seems to signal the body’s natural muscle repairing response—thus triggering more immediate, more effective muscle gains during exercise.
While there are some T-healthy ingredients (Stinging Nettle, Agaricus Bisporus, Hesperitin), Animal Test’s primary focus isn’t on sex hormones so much as sex appeal. This is your Narcissus supplement. Your Dorian Grey tonic.
You take Animal Test not to build strength, but to grow muscle—while also getting CUT on the Animal Test’s fat-burning Yohimbine.
As such, we can’t necessarily compare Animal Test’s formula with P6 Xtreme’s: Both are completely different, yet successful at what they do.
With that in mind, we’re giving the first round to both supps.
Round 1… Tie.
Round 2: Dosages
We’ll make this round as easy as possible, seeing as how difficult both products make it for us to see their ingredient dosages. This is one of the unfortunate side effects of having Proprietary Blends—none of your consumers know exactly what the hell’s going on with your formula (perhaps that’s exactly what Cellucor & Universal Nutrition are going for here).
Here’s how we’ll judge this round: We’ll take the overall blend dosages and divide them by the number of ingredients within the blend. If there are any unusual exceptions (such as Bioperine which requires a very small dosage and thus most likely received a small dosage) we’ll point them out:
- P6 Xtreme. One blend with 9 ingredients under 2600 mg averages out to 289 mg/ingredient (not bad!).
- Animal Test. Two blends: The first averaging 417 mg/ingredient. The second averaging to 750 mg/ingredient (when you discount Bioperine).
While P6 Xtreme supplies enough milligrams for all of its ingredients to have effect, Animal Test supplies even more milligrams for less ingredients.
Round 2… Animal Test Wins.
Round 3: Ingredient Quality
Similar to the first round, this is a hard round to judge due to the wide disparity of ingredients & bio-actions.
Because P6 Xtreme relies heavily on herbal extracts, we’re looking for % standards and hopefully a few quality branded ingredients—which we’re seeing with the AlphaSize, LJ100, & Zembrin.
Animal Test, on the other hand, is somewhat hard to decipher: It shows the plant source where its deriving its bio-active compounds, but it fails to tell us (for the most part) what percentage of the extracts supplies those compounds. We doubt any of Animal Test’s ingredients are sub-par, but we won’t know for sure.
Due to P6 Xtreme’s transparency and evident superiority in herbal extract qualities, P6 is getting its first win of the night over Animal Test.
Round 3… P6 Xtreme Wins.
Round 4: Price
P6 Xtreme | VS. | Animal Test
1 Bottle (30-day supply) | $169.99 | 1 Bottle (30-day supply) | $109.95
Price Per Capsule | $1.42 | Price Per Capsule | $5.24
Price Per Serving | $5.67 | Price Per Serving | $5.24 |
Round 4… Animal Test Wins.
Round 5: JUDGEMENT
Close fight, but we have ourselves our winner: Animal Test.
It says something that Animal Test ultimately won the match-up for being the cheaper of the two considering how expensive it is. $109.95 for 21 servings?? That’s a lot of money to dish out for only a potential 4-week cycle.
But Animal Test works and supplies a unique formula for a unique take on muscle gains. So what can we say other than that we get it.
P6 Xtreme, on the other hand, we don’t get. It’s a solid formula, sure. But there are arguably better P6 T-boosters that are not only way cheaper than P6 Xtreme, but have way more potent & powerful T-boosts.
All-in-all, P6 Xtreme doesn’t earn the heavy price-tag, nor does it earn the win in this match-up.
