Are bodybuilders athletes?
Is that offensive to ask?
Of course bodybuilders are athletes. What a ridículo question. Just don’t get all pissy & whoop our asses & shit when we say that we’re pitting an Athlete booster against a Bodybuilder booster in this match-up–as if the two our mutually exclusive.
At the least, there are different connotations for the two: Athletes are active, mobile sports-fiends while Bodybuilders are big, massive, boneheads. Right?
Whatever. Just read the damn review.

Round 1: Formulas
What is more impressive:
Earning a top spot on the 2016 ed. Best5 Testosterone Supplements list or claiming an endorsement from BIG man Ronnie “Yeah Buddy” Coleman himself?
That’s right: Best5 all the way, baby—good answer.
TestoFuel supercharges & replenishes your athletic gains.
Situated at a well-earned #4 spot on our 2016 ed. Best5 Testosterone Supplements, TestoFuel is one of the best T-boosters not only for supercharging T, but for replenishing essential (T-related) vitamins & minerals deficient in the athletic/bodybuilding community.
The Superchargers:
- D-Aspartic Acid. Our #1 T-booster on the BIG LIST of T-Boosters. Directly increases T-synthesis in the testes.
- Vitamin D. Another top T-booster involved in the T-synthesis process.
- Fenugreek. Aids T-status by inhibiting T-inhibitors, thereby increasing “free” T levels throughout the body.
The Replenishers include Zinc-Magnesium-B6 (otherwise known as ZMA), a sports nutritional combo believed to increase T & support athletic muscle & strength gains—in addition to supporting deeper sleep at night.
Oyster may help with TestoFuel’s vitamin, mineral, & amino status, but… meh, it’s not too important. But we can dig it.
Testogen XR hits with EXPLOSIVE pre-workout gains.
Testogen XR is also an athlete/bodybuilder-oriented formula—with a particular emphasis on “bodybuilder” due to its endorsement by Ronnie Coleman.
If TestoFuel is geared towards replenishing muscle & strength gains, then Testogen XR is aiming towards activating muscle & strength gains with its PWO ingredients:
- Agmatine. As a metabolite of L-Arginine, a well-known N.O. booster, Agmatine is believed to increase vasodilation (although some research suggests it may inhibit N.O. under certain circumstances).
- L-Carnitine. Not only helps increase fat metabolism for enhanced fat-burning, but transfers that fat into ATP—muscle energy, baby!
Testogen XR also contains D-Aspartic Acid & Vitamin D for direct T-boosts with additional performance support in the “Performance & Enhancement System” blend—multiply those effects by the absorption-enhancing agent AstraGin. The result being massive T-boosts with explosive muscle pumps and, reportedly, explosive diarrhea.
Wait, what?
That’s right: Mud butt. One of the most common effects of this T-booster is the runs, which we’re guessing are a result from the Agmatine content. This has us wondering why Testogen XR didn’t go with the safer, more effective L-Arginine instead (but who are we to question Ronnie?).
Granted, many users (including the mud butt victims) also report Testogen XR having massive effects on their athletic performance, but, given the choice, we’re going with the T-booster that boost T without exploding our insides.
Round 1… TestoFuel Wins.
Round 2: Dosages
Here’s a tough one:
Side-by-side comparison, the first thing we notice is that Testogen XR uses prop blends, whereas TestoFuel reveals all of its dosages. On the other hand, Testogen XR has more D-Aspartic Acid than TestoFuel—which is where most of the T-boosts will be coming from for both formulas.
However, another important T-booster (Vitamin D) shared by both formulas has a much higher dosage in TestoFuel than Testogen XR. This gives TestoFuel one point over Testogen XR on the T-boost scale—and TestoFuel seems to maintain that lead when you see that the rest of both formulas bogged down by either meh ingredients dosages or meh prop blend shenanigans.
It’s a very slight lead that could easily swap places if Testogen XR did away with the prop blends… but it’s a lead all the same.
Round 2… TestoFuel Wins.
Round 3: Ingredient Quality
We’ll treat this round similar to the last by addressing the two most important T-boosters shared by both formulas:
- D-Aspartic Acid. Same form in both.
- Vitamin D. Same form in both.
Huh… Well, alright then.
Moving from here, we see more or less the same in both formulas: Plain man herbs that could use extraction—yet, Testogen XR gets a leg up by showcasing a couple branded extracts, of which TestoFuel contains exactly zero.
We’re excited by Testogen XR’s smart choice of the bodybuilder’s LCLT form of L-Carnitine, whereas TestoFuel’s athletic ingredients (ZMA) could use improvement all-around.
Another close round, but a clear winner all the same.
Round 3… Testogen XR Wins.
Round 4: Price
TestoFuel | VS. | Testogen XR
1 Bottle (30-day supply) | $65.00 | 1 Bottle (30-day supply) | $99.99
Price Per Capsule | $0.54 | Price Per Capsule | $3.33
Price Per Serving | $2.17 | Price Per Serving | $3.33 |
Round 4… TestoFuel Wins.
Round 5: JUDGEMENT
Before we make our final judgment call, here’s what we have to say about this match-up:
Testogen XR didn’t lose to TestoFuel for being an inferior T-booster. If anything, Testogen XR has BIGGER T-boosts than TestoFuel by supplying more D-Aspartic Acid.
Testogen XR lost because TestoFuel is awesome & doesn’t give you diarrhea.
And the reason Testogen XR triggers the runs is because it makes the questionable decision of choosing Agmatine over L-Arginine as its premier PWO ingredient (in addition to the questionable decision of other ingredients: Green Tea? D-Calcium Glucarate?).
Other than that, we wouldn’t toss out the option simply because of TestoFuel. Again, Testogen XR has Ronnie Coleman’s name on it, which has to mean something considering the guy won Mr. Olympia [X amount] of times. If you’re one of the gigantor bodybuilders, Testogen XR is probably right down your alley.
But for everyone else, there’s TestoFuel.
