Men are stubborn assholes.
This is one of those universal truths.
And because we’re stubborn assholes, we don’t like to do shit that’s supposedly good for us: Like eating our vegetables, not drinking our beer, taking our vitamins & minerals, driving the speed limit, keeping our hands out of our pants, yada yada bullshit.
Well, that’s why we have T-boosters like Alpha JYM & TestoFuel to cram in all the shit that’s good for us so we don’t have to go out looking for it.
But which booster has the gooder shit for us?

Round 1: Formulas
What’s more important to you:
Having more ingredients?
Or having a higher percentage of ingredients that work?
What would you say if we told you one of these formulas has both…
Alpha JYM ups the mojo with its “Five Stage Testosterone Boost.”
Five Stage Testosterone Boost, you say?
Mojo, you say??
It’s true: Alpha JYM ups the mojo in 5 Stages. And those Stages are:
- First, Alpha JYM encourages your body to produce more T.
- Next, estrogen levels are blunted.
- Antioxidant support helps T-producing function of the testicles.
- Excretion of T is reduced to maintain higher blood T levels.
- Inhibits T-binding proteins (ex. SHBG) for optimized T.
And, for the most part, Alpha JYM’s ingredient choices check out: Fenugreek & Tongkat Ali increase the active T levels, Quercetin & Ashwagandha provide antioxidant support (Quercetin in particular reduces excretion of T), Damiana & DIM potentially decrease estrogen levels—although they might also aid estrogen expression, so…
As far as research goes, not every ingredient is completely science-backed (e.g. Damiana & DIM), but there’s an apparent reason for everything in this formula and the end result of it all: More mojo.
TestoFuel ups the muscle with athletic ball-droppers.
While Alpha JYM deserves praise for eschewing the vitamins & minerals for more mojo-powering herbs, TestoFuel deserves praise for choosing the right vitamins & minerals for boosting T & athletic gains:
- Vitamin D & K2 increase overall T-production.
- Zinc + Magnesium + B6 (a.k.a. ZMA) increase overall T-production and enhance muscle & strength gains for mineral-sweating athletes.
Thus, highlighting the intended demographic of this T-booster: Athletes—particularly of the bodybuilding variety.
Typically, men of this genre are already doing fine on T, especially if they’re anywhere within the 18-30 age range. Which is why TestoFuel has added a major ball-dropper to really get the juice flowing: D-Aspartic Acid. Our #1 favorite T-booster on our BIG LIST of T-Boosters.
Only the BADDEST boosters carry it, because it’s a potent booster that works. And TestoFuel has one of the highest DAA contents in a T-booster formula—in addition to the Fenugreek also sported by Alpha JYM.
It’s a tough comparison because both formulas do so much right, but TestoFuel simply does more right with even more ingredients.
Round 1… TestoFuel Wins.
Round 2: Dosages
As much as we like TestoFuel, it has a hard time in this round.
Not because all of its dosages are shit—it has one of the highest DAA contents around, which über-duber spectacular. But because some of its dosages are shit—such as Fenugreek:
- TestoFuel’s Fenugreek has only 100 mg.
- Alpha JYM’s Fenugreek has a whopping 500 mg.
As well it better since it only has 6 ingredients.
The argument could be made that it’s better that TestoFuel double down on its ball-dropping T-boosters, such as DAA, in lieu of its mid-range T-boosters, such as Fenugreek & Ginseng, and that argument would be correct.
But compared to Alpha JYM, which supplies adequate dosages across the board, TestoFuel sorta looks like a half-complete chump in this round.
Round 2… Alpha JYM Wins.
Round 3: Ingredient Quality
But perhaps the other half of TestoFuel’s brilliance lies in the quality of its ingredients.
Right?
One thing we can say, Alpha JYM delivers in this round again by supplying quality extracts of Fenugreek, Ashwagandha, & Tongkat Ali—the actual T-boosters in the formula. The rest of its ingredients look solid as well, seeing as Diindolylmethane & Quercetin simply are what they are, and Damiana doesn’t have a known extract, yet.
TestoFuel hits the mark just fine, but could still use some improvements:
- DAA to D-AA-CC
- Pyridoxine HCl to P-5-P
- Ginseng & Fenugreek to Ginseng & Fenugreek extracts.
These ingredients work and still get the job done, but, technically, they’re not the best.
Round 3… Alpha JYM Wins.
Round 4: Price
Alpha JYM | VS. | TestoFuel
1 Bottle (30-day supply) | $29.99 | 1 Bottle (30-day supply) | $65.00
Price Per Capsule | $0.17 | Price Per Capsule | $0.54
Price Per Serving | $0.50 | Price Per Serving | $2.17 |
Round 4… Alpha JYM Wins.
Round 5: JUDGEMENT
Sort of an underdog tale here (pun intended).
TestoFuel came into this fight looking like the clear winner: It has a ballsy formula, a long track-record of B5 wins, a spot on our 2016 ed. Best 5 Testosterone Boosters list. Yet, Alpha JYM nearly clean sweeps every round.
The only round Alpha JYM lost in this match-up was Round 1, which is arguably the most important round for dealing with the most important aspect of a supplement: It’s formula.
Despite having poorer dosages & poorer qualities & a much higher price-tag than Alpha JYM, TestoFuel’s formula is undoubtedly better for boosting T. It’s undoubtedly better than most formulas for boosting T.
Alpha JYM will boost T, but not to the degree of TestoFuel’s heavy DAA load.
Which perhaps explains why TestoFuel is so much more expensive than Alpha JYM and why TestoFuel sacrificed the quality of its less important ingredients to make room for the BIG dawg.
Regardless, while TestoFuel is a major go-to for T-boosting athletes, it lacks the polish & shine of Alpha JYM’s affordable formula. And for that it loses this fight in a shocking upset.
