Of the many fat burners we all love, Caffeine has the largest fan base.
Mainly because so many corporate zombies can’t start their day without a huge cup of Joe.
Despite caffeine’s many benefits, it’s one of the main reasons why we have stim-related side effects.
Top Secret Nutrition didn’t seem to care much about stim side effects when they released the first Ab Igniter, which had 250 mg caffeine.
And now, with Ab Igniter Black they’ve created something even MORE stimulating. Just how intense is it? Let’s find out.

About Ab Igniter Black
Ab Igniter Black is described by Top Secret Nutrition as “the weight loss supplement that you can feel good with and about. Finally, a supplement that produces results!” Are they saying Ab Igniter version 1.0 didn’t really live up to its fat-burning potential? Hmmm. Formula notes:
- Caffeine overload: It has at least 410 mg of caffeine. Bro, I love caffeine like my side chick but holy shit that’s a lot.
- Mood and Focus: They didn’t have this last time. Maybe the caffeine dump forced them to add this in.
- Interesting Premiums: They use some quality-lookin’ branded ingredients that we have not seen in fat burners before.

Three words: Serious caffeine overload.
Just like its predecessor, Ab Igniter Black has made caffeine the driving force of the formula. With that said, Ab Igniter Black still has potential when it comes to being a good fat burner. Let’s have a look and see for yourself:
Energy Blend, 800 mg
Caffeine Anhydrous, 300 mg
Caffeine is our #2 fat burner and is THE household name when it comes to energy and fat burning. We like hefty doses of this but we see 300 mg (plus more in the next ingredient) as overkill.
Guarana, 500 mg
Guarana is suggested to act like a slow-release version of caffeine. Here, it contributes at least 110 mg of caffeine (being composed of 22% caffeine) to add up to the already overkill dose of 300 mg. This makes Ab Igniter Black’s caffeine content amount to a whopping 410 mg per serving! Talk about jitters and sleepless nights!
Mood and Focus Booster, 412.5 mg
Siamese Ginger
Adding ginger in a T-boosting or Fat burning blend makes sense, but not in a blend for mood and focus. Still it’s a decent fat-burner, just seems to be in the wrong section here.
Huperzine A
Huperzine is known as a good nootropic ingredient that boosts the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. It’s also effective even in really puny doses. It’s mostly used for age-related mental performance issues, but nevertheless it’s a solid brain nutrient.
Fat Blasting Duo, 106 mg
NeluleanTM, 100 mg
There’s barely anything about it as a fat burner unless you consider its anti-obesogenic properties (not the same thing). It’s a premium ingredient and the dosage is okay at 100 mg. So we’re not really sure what to make of it, partly because we’ve never seen it in a fat-burner before. Ab Igniter Black could be ahead of the curve here.
Yohimbine, 6 mg
In the context of fat burning, Yohimbine is credited to freeing up the body’s fat-burning hormones. It’s a damn good fat-burner, bro. Plus, yohimbine is the active ingredient — and JUST the active ingredient — of yohimbe. This makes the 6 mg dose a lot better than it looks at first glance.
CapsiAtra, 43.5 mg
It’s a premium brand of capsinoids found in sweet chili peppers, mainly dihydrocapsiate. Dihydrocapsiate is a capsinoid known to partially boost metabolism even when you’re not doing anything. As far as studies are concerned, 43.5 mg is more than enough to make you feel hotter, if you get our drift. (It burns fat, bro. If you didn’t get our drift.)
Bioperine®, 3 mg
Last on this list is one of our favorite supplement staples. Bioperine is the best brand when it comes to black pepper extract, a substance capable of augmenting absorption rates of just about any ingredient, while also helping to burn fat. The 3 mg is a little low, but we love that BioPerine is in here, bro.
Formula Analysis
Ab Igniter Black is supposed to be the upgraded version of Ab Igniter. We’re assuming it was developed for bros who want something stronger than the original.
When we first saw Ab Igniter Black, we thought it would take a more advanced approach to fat-burning than the original Ab Igniter. We were wrong.
Instead of creating a more diverse and balanced fat burner, Ab Igniter Black loaded wayyyyyy up on caffeine. Caffeine upon caffeine! So we were a little let down by that. It’s kind of one-dimensional.
Ab Igniter Black’s Energy Blend is just one big caffeine dump, there’s barely anything for Mood and Focus as ginger isn’t really a nootropic. Fat Blasting Duo looks aight bro, but “blasting” is a bit much. Bioperine and CapsiAtra are awesome premium brands for what they can do, so some highlights there for sure.
What we’re trying to say is that we actually think the original Ab Igniter is better than Ab Igniter Black. Ab Igniter is milder, yes, but has the cool “multi-path fat burning” angle that more than makes up for it.
Ab Igniter Black, on the other hand, is kind of clumsy and heavy handed… but SUPER stimulating, bro. We won’t even mention the potential health implications of consuming 410 mg of caffeine (more than 4 cups of brewed coffee!) in one go.
Ab Igniter Benefits
Ab Igniter Black does have fat burning benefits. It ramps up metabolism, promotes fat breakdown and thermogenesis (makes you sweat), and might provide good focus and mental performance, but we’re not that confident in the nootropic claims. Where Ab Igniter had a wide array of benefits for weight loss, Ab Igniter Black is more targeted with stimulant-related fat-burning activity.
Who Takes It?
Stim junkies. For some hardcore Bros, the first Ab Igniter probably wasn’t quite stimulating enough. Ab Igniter Black really ups the intensity. It is not for the faint of heart or weak of muscle.
Any Side Effects?
With 400 mg or more of caffeine, Ab Igniter Black might bring tension, anxiety, jitters, palpitations, sleeplessness, etc., and may crash you down back to Earth once it’s done with you.

Final Word on Ab Igniter Black
Ab Igniter Black should be taken with caution due to its high caffeine content. But some bros love the stim. For them, Ab Igniter Black really delivers an intense fat-burning buzz. The formula’s nootropics and wildcards might offer some bonus benefits. And keep in mind, if Ab Igniter Black’s caffeine is too much, you can always cut back to one capsule per day.
