Round 1: Formulas
Both Vintage Burn and Instant Knockout claim to be the best in their game. (What supplement company doesn’t?) But each one has their own definition of what a great fat-burning supplement should be.
Vintage Burn puts a new spin on fat burning.
This formula combines an array of ingredients meant to provide a thermogenic-muscle preserving combo in each serving.
For its fat-burners, Vintage Burn makes use of not one, not two, but four of our Best5 Fat Burners: Green Tea Extract (GTE), Green Coffee Bean Extract (GCBE), Caffeine, and Garcinia.
The presence of any one of these ingredients in a fat burner signify potency and quality research, but putting them all together just screams “Burn, baby, BURN!”
Adding Raspberry Ketones and Forskohli is like adding fuel to a blazing fire.
Vintage Burn’s Chrysin which helps promote testosterone and therefore preserve muscle mass, while Bacopa’s presence helps keep you sane when you’re cutting.
The dosages and forms Vintage Burn used on their ingredients softened their product’s strength, though, as some are rendered weak or even ineffective with what Vintage Burn offered. We’re also not fond of adding Olive Leaf Extract as research about it being a fat-burner is sparse at most.
Despite the negatives mentioned, Vintage Burn is a working fat-burner guaranteed to make you save muscle while shredding fat.
Instant Knockout is all about the burn and nothing but.
Instant Knockout offers an old school fat burner hell-bent on making sure you burn fat with each serving.
Like Vintage Burn, Instant Knockout also has 4 of our Best5 Fat Burners – Green Tea Extract, Cayenne, Green Coffee Extract, plus LOADS of caffeine.
Everyone wants to lose weight without going hungry and Instant Knockout answered that with Glucomannan and plenty of it too.
Chromium improves your body’s nutrient metabolism while Black Pepper improves absorption of each ingredient and acts as a fat-burner on the side which makes it as a welcome addition in virtually any supplement. It also comes in at 95% standardization which is awesome.
The only downside is their use of rather simple ingredients but that’s easily overlooked if you’re looking for a fat-burner that does its job and more.
So for round 1, both products show fat-burning power despite coming from opposite sides of the ring.
Both are pretty great, but Instant Knockout wins due to having a solid, straightforward formula aimed with no other intent than to melt the fat away from your body.
Vintage Burn still burns fat and preserves muscle, but at the cost of potency.
Round 1… Instant Knockout Wins.
Round 2: Dosages
Both products were transparent label-wise so we applaud them for being a man about their dosages and avoiding the Prop Blend trend.
Both supplements have some of the best fat burners in the game but we’ll narrow it down to the ones they both have: GTE, GCBE, and Caffeine.
GTE is the best fat burner on our list and having more in one serving naturally ramps up the amount of heat a fat-burner has to offer. Vintage Burn has a total of 330 mg and Instant Knockout has 500 mg. IKO takes the first win.
GCBE is known for its Cholorogenic Acids (CGAs) which are known to spark fat burning, improve energy metabolism, and balance blood sugar by blocking glucose absorption. This effectively minimizes fat storage while keeping a normal appetite. Vintage Burn has 540 mg and Instant Knockout only has 100 mg. Vintage Burn wins.
Caffeine is everyone’s favorite stimulant and appears in just about every supplement in the market. It’s a great fat burner so you naturally want more but too much. Instant Knockout’s 300 mg caffeine is 2x what Vintage Burn Offers… it’s a lot, so make sure you can handle it.
When you look at the overall formulas the dosages are comparable, but Instant Knockout gets a sneak-attack win because its Black Pepper boosts absorption of all ingredients, for a greater “true” dosage overall.
Round 2… Instant Knockout Wins.
Round 3: Ingredient Quality
Let’s set it straight: both products are pretty basic. No fancy brands or premium ingredients. Both supplements make use of great ingredients in their not-so-great forms so there really isn’t much to decide here save for Instant Knockout’s Black Pepper (Have we mentioned Black Pepper is dope?).
In this regard, even if both supplements used generic ingredients, the presence of a standardized Black Pepper increases the overall quality of each one making Instant Knockout’s formulation literally “cheap” but effective.
Round 3… Instant Knockout Wins.
Round 4: Price

Price Per Capsule | $0.42 | Price Per Capsule | $0.49 | |
Price Per Serving | $1.67 | Price Per Serving | $1.97 |
Round 4… Vintage Burn Wins.
Round 5: JUDGEMENT
It’s pretty clear: It’s a 3-1 win for Instant Knockout. It may not be as innovative but Instant Knockout clearly punched Vintage Burn out of the ring with its smart formula design and thoughtful addition of standardized black pepper, the winning ingredient that put Vintage Burn out of commission.
It was a close fight to the end but Instant Knockout is number one in our Best 5 Fat Burner Supplements for a reason.
Even if Vintage Burn lost, it’s still a great fat burner and, depending on your dosage, could actually come out to be more cost effective than it looks on paper. Its unique approach to fat burning gives Vintage Burn a must-try specially if you’re after something different. If you’re only after fat burning and nothing more, Instant Knockout is the best pick.
In the Vintage Burn vs. Instant Knockout fight, the winner is…
