The blue pills are back, boys — just not those blue pills. (Those particular blue pills that if we were to name then, then Google would likely flag this website.) However, these blue pills have a similar goal as those blue pills, that goal being: Sex.
That’s right: sex — a word that Google doesn’t flag and is always trending. Yet, that’s not all these pills accomplish, as their primary goals include: enhanced testosterone, reduced estrogen, & improved muscle/strength gains.
This is first-&-foremost a Testosterone Boosting Formula.
Second-most, a sex enhancer.
With a risky third-most layer of potential lipid peroxidation & liver issues. (Yeah, we should probably talk about it.) But we’ll get into that & more in the review.

About MAX’S Lab Series The Gear
The Nukem-Dukem-looking doctor? That’s MAX. And he has “something special” he believed will give us “super-human strength!” That special something being The Gear. What makes this something so special? Well, it boosts testosterone while suppressing estrogen! (But don’t most T-boosters do that?) Formula notes:
- Testosterone Boosting Blend: Part 1 of The Gear, the TESTOSTERONE BOOSTING BLEND stacks herbal aphrodisiacs with potent steroid-like plants for natural T gains.
- Estrogen Suppression Blend: Part 2 of The Gear focuses almost entirely on inhibiting aromatase conversion of T to estrogen.
- Liver Risk: Two of The Gear’s test boosters, Bulbine natalensis & Fadogia agrestis, may significantly hurt the liver — but they may also significantly boost T, so…

The Gear enhances “free” T status then switches gears to keep estrogen levels in check.
And the best part: The Gear’s “gears” are non-proprietary. Everything in this supplement is on full display and, better yet, all dosages look SOLID and STRONG — the benefits of a 3 capsule serving taken twice daily. But are these even ingredients we want to have solid and strong dosages?
Let’s check out what The Gear has for us, blend-by-blend:
TESTOSTERONE BOOSTING BLEND
Tribulus Terrestris Extract – The MAX’s Lab Series website boasts a hefty 900 mg dosage, the label advertised to us shows 750 mg. Either way, The Gear sells a lot of Trib, a potent, feel-good sex enhancer that doesn’t boost testosterone but, hey!, it feels good, right!
Bulbine natalensis Powder – Traditional aphrodisiac herb categorized under “steroid-like” for its potential LH promotion, although we’re not the biggest fans of Bulbine for its potential health risks at high dosages.
Fadogia agrestis Powder – Similar to Bulbine, Fadogia might help with T-status (at least according to rat research) but comes with potential negative effects: increase in lipid peroxidation, a toxic bio-effect on the liver.
Epimedium Extract – Epimium, or Horny Goat Weed (alright, alriiight), doesn’t boost testosterone but rather mimics it, delivering several of the secondary effects of testosterone without boosting the hormone itself — the most noticeably effect: libido.
Mucuna pruriens Extract – Our #3 favorite ingredient on our BIG List of T-Boosters, Velvet bean (Mucuna pruriens) carries natural L-dopa, the precursor compound to dopamine that increases LH release from the pituitary (as well as growth hormone). The Gear’s Mucuna extract is standardized to a super hot 98% L-dopa.
ESTROGEN SUPPRESSION BLEND
DIM (Diindolylmethane) – Anti-estrogen compound sources from cruciferous vegetables (e.g., broccoli), believed to inhibit aromatase, the enzyme responsible for converting test to estrogen.
Maca Root PE 4:1 – Similar to Trib, Maca feels great but doesn’t affect male hormones (or female hormones) but may enhance physical performance.
White Mushroom Extract – Agaricus bisporus has a decent list of studies to back its anti-estrogen status. Again, The Gear delivers a solid dosage here.
Polygonum cuspidatum Extract – Extracted for resveratrol, everyone’s favorite antioxidant for also being found in red wine. Its powerful antioxidant effects may improve T status as well as the test:estrogen ratio.
Formula Analysis
Increase the T, reduce the E — this is essentially the two-part plan here with MAX’S The Gear‘s blend + blend testosterone booster supplement, those blends being:
- TESTOSTERONE BOOSTING – Mixing traditional sex enhancers with risky, albeit legal steroid-like aphrodisiac botanicals.
- ESTROGEN SUPPRESSION – Primarily focusing on aromatase inhibition, preventing the increased T of the previous blend from converting to E.
Many supplements take this route, few get it right.
The Gear gets it right.
By selecting only highly potent herbal extracts at impressively high dosages, The Gear doesn’t seem to cut any corners, even taking the high road with the non-proprietary statuses on those blends. However, if there’s one thing we’re not 100% on with this T-booster is its use of Bulbine natalensis & Fadogia agrestis — we’ve actually included the former on our “T-Boosters to Avoid” list due to its potential side effect risk.
But we’re not total weebs: we get that people are going to try out Bulbina & Fadogia, regardless of the risks involved. And The Gear at least seems like a prime, quality choice for doing so.
MAX’S The Gear Benefits
The Max’s Lab Series The Gear benefits are (as advertised):
- Maximize Free Testosterone
- Increase Mass and Strength
- Reduce Estrogen Levels
Based on the two non-proprietary blends in its formula, The Gear was designed to deliver anabolic hormone boosts with its two-in-one sex hormone targeting approach: increasing testosterone expression while reducing test’s conversion to estrogen. Additionally, with such a potent Mucuna extract, The Gear may also make a noticeable impact on growth hormone, furthering its muscle gains power.
Who Takes It?
Fearless Adventurers. Men who won’t let an arrow to the knee stop them from doing what they do — nor will they be scared of a little* liver toxicity from their test boosts & strength gains. (*Actually, we don’t know if it’s just a “little” — see: the next section.)
Any Side Effects?
The two ingredients to keep your eyes (both of them!!) on are Bulbine natalensis & Fadogia agrestis — both of which seem to exert selective toxicity on the liver, which you may take as evidence of their quote-unquote “steroid-like” bio-effects. Having said that, Fadogia also has a reputation of curbing the side effects of intense prohormone/steroid stacks, so …yay contradictions.
For the record, a few YouTube customer reviews had mostly positive points on The Gear, whereas the written side of the internet is still catching up with this one.

Final Word on MAX’S The Gear
Frankly, MAX’S The Gear isn’t for us. It’s a great, quality product, delivering only hefty, potent ingredients, but we like test boosts risk-free — and there are great testosterone boosters that work without the side effects. Having said that, we get the attraction to this supplement, and give it the thumbs up to men looking to try out Bulbine & Fadogia concurrently. Just don’t blame us when your liver pokes out your ass.
