The pump occurs after an intense workout, when your muscles are sore, swollen and saturated.
You look like a beast. You feel like a beast. The great Arnold Schwarzenegger once described this feeling as being better than sex.
If you want to achieve that feeling each time you step in the gym, you might be tempted to look for a supplement that specifically targets the pump, such as Daily Pump from Arms Race Nutrition. But would that be a smart move, or would you be wasting your money?
Let’s find out…

About Arms Race Daily Pump
Daily Pump is the stim-free cousin to Arms Race Nutrition’s other pre-workout – Harness.
Harness was engineered to support power, pump, focus and energy. Daily Pump has been engineered to support pump, volume, endurance and strength.
The two products are designed to give you that pump feeling, but the lack of stimulants in Daily Pump means that it offers something different to Harness.
Looking at the ingredients (more on those shortly), it’s a product we can totally get behind for anyone wanting to be one-minded about their pump, even if it isn’t exactly a complete pre-workout.
Daily Pump’s high points are:
- Engineered for maximum pump – this is a formula with one purpose, to get you looking bigger than ever before!
- Enhances endurance – through hyperhydration your muscles will be kept fed and watered.
- High-quality ingredients – if you’re going to use third party compounds or blends, you might as well make sure you’re choosing top quality, and we believe Daily Pump has chosen well. Read on to find out more…

L-Citrulline 5000mg
The first ingredient we’ll look at in Daily Pump is found in exactly the same dose in Arm Race’s other pre-workout product, Harness. Not that we’re complaining, citrulline can be hugely beneficial in a pre-workout context and, in case you missed our review of Harness, we’ll run through how that works.
Citrulline is an amino acid that your body converts into another amino acid called arginine. Arginine is used to produce nitric oxide which then widens your blood vessels and allows for improved circulation to your muscles during exercise.
Why is this beneficial? Because more blood passing through your muscles means they can maintain a higher work rate for longer periods of time. The benefits don’t end there though as citrulline also helps to promote protein synthesis AND prevents reuptake of other amino acids. These benefits are more associated with the post-workout stage as they help your body to get more out of protein that is ingested while citrulline levels are high.
A dose of 5g is consistent with the majority of studies so Arms Race are rightly sticking to what they believe in here. This will get your pump off to a good start. Let’s see what else Daily Pump has to offer.
GlycerSize™ 3000mg
Next up we have the first of three independently manufactured compounds that make up the bulk of Daily Pump’s formula. GlycerSize™ (formerly known as GlycerPump) claims to enhance hydration, increase stamina, saturate muscles and do all this without clumping up the formula (something that the key ingredient, glycerol, is well known for doing).
Glycerol is perfectly safe and when ingested can mix with fluids inside your body to improve hydration and increase athletic performance. Some studies have suggested that glycerol supplementation could prolong endurance by up to 24% and improve power output by 5%. Other studies show more mooted results, but the general consensus is that it does improve hydration and endurance by some degree.
The problem with glycerol supplements was always their fat content, which caused clumping and destabilization of formulas that contained glycerol. These products were only about 25% pure. GlycerSize™ uses a spray drying process to produce a product that is 65% glycerol and much more stable.
The result is that Daily Pump mixes quickly and easily with almost no sediment left at the bottom once ingested, so a great addition to the formula. This will leave your muscles hyperhydrated and help you experience an amazing pump!
Betaine Nitrate (NO3-T®) 2500mg
NO3-T® is a patented technology for nitrates compounds in the supplement industry. If you want the best nitrate for your formula, talk to ThermoLife. Arms Race have, and it’s to their credit.
The betaine nitrate variety contains, no prizes for guessing here, betaine and nitrates. The betaine is betaine anhydrous and it’s something of a beast when it comes to benefits for athletes and bodybuilders.
In one study, betaine anhydrous was tested over 6 weeks at a dose of 2500mg per day. It produced a huge increase in arm size, power output, lean mass and helped to reduce body fat as well. It was also noted that the betaine group had lower levels of homocysteine. Having high levels of this amino acid is seen as a risk factor for cardiovascular disease, so this is another benefit of its inclusion in Daily Pump.
So, the betaine certainly helps when it comes to strength and endurance, two of the key benefits Daily Pump claims to provide. The NO3-T® nitrates will help support the pump provided by the citrulline and glycerol.
As we know, nitrates increase the amount of nitric oxide in your blood, which helps carry more oxygenated blood around your muscles. When your muscles are engorged, they need more oxygen, which the nitrates will help deliver.
ViNitrox™ 500mg
This is the second ingredient common across both of Arm Race’s pre-workout products and you could argue that it sits more comfortably in the Daily Pump formula than it does in Harness, which is stim-based.
The polyphenols in ViNitrox help to reduce oxidative damage to your muscles resulting from exertion during training and can speed up recovery time between workouts.
This effect may be supported better by the additional glycerol from GlycerSize™, and likewise the fact that your body is in a hyperhydrated state may help the antioxidants to prevent damage during your workout and speed up recovery afterwards.
Vitamin C 250mg
OK, bit of a weird one to finish on. You may have noticed that vitamin C is at the top of the ‘supplement facts’ picture above? Well we thought we’d leave it till last because we can’t quite work out why it’s here.
Vitamin C has loads of benefits. It’s an antioxidant that helps protect against a variety of illnesses. Also, it repairs damaged skin, ligaments and blood vessels. It helps produce collagen.
Not only that, it contributes to muscular recovery, if only in a minor way. These are all great benefits, but none of them screams ‘pump’ to us.
Maybe Arms Race were concerned that Daily Pump is going to leave everyone so damn pumped that they will need extra collagen to help stretch their skin over all those swollen muscles?
Vitamin C is nice to have, but in this context it’s a bit like the guy who brings canapes to a frat party. No one is going to be mad they’re there, but no one would have missed them either.

Arms Race Daily Pump Formula Analysis
Let’s get under the hood of this formula. Overall Daily Pump strikes a good balance between pump and power, with the focus slightly leaning towards pump.
You will feel and look like a monster on this stuff. The driving force behind this effect is the glycerol. It draws fluid into your muscles which causes them to swell up, creating that ‘pumped’ look. Having this extra fluid in your muscles puts them in a state of hyperhydration – which also means they can do more work.
However, without enough fuel, you’ll run out of steam very quickly. This is where the rest of the formula comes together beautifully. Citrulline and NO3-T® nitrates combine to flood your arteries with oxygenated blood, and the addition of NO3-T® betaines means that you’ll be able to lift heavier and longer to really round out those peaks.
Of course, you don’t want to leave yourself at risk of injury, so the ViNitrox™ polyphenols help to prevent damage to your muscles and reduce recovery time. In reality you may not notice shorter recovery times, but that’s because you’ll be doing more work during training sessions. The actual effect will be that you can recover from doing more work in the same time it used to take after doing less work.
The one downside of Daily Pump, and we say this as fans of this product, is that it contains nothing to help with mental focus, motivation or energy… all things we like to see in our favorite pre-workout supps. That’s why we’d suggest it doesn’t work as a complete pre-workout, but consider it for pumps alone, and wow. You’re onto a winner.
Arms Race Daily Pump – Benefits
Does Daily Pump provide the benefits they claim it does?
- Pump – the clue’s in the name, right? Daily Pump will undoubtedly leave you looking and feeling more pumped than ever before! Achieving a pump during your workout is not only beneficial for your self-esteem. Your swollen muscles will synthesize protein more effectively, leading to bigger gains over time.
- Volume – you may not recognize yourself after the first workout on Daily Pump. Prepare to answer questions like “what have you been eating?” with “mostly racehorse steaks and motorcycles hahahaha”. If you’re in need of motivation though, a glimpse of what you might look like 3 months from now will do the job.
- Endurance – glycerol, citrulline and nitrates combine to ensure your muscles can endure high intensity exercise for longer periods. The lack of stimulants means you will have to push yourself mentally, but if you have the grit to persevere, you’ll have the gas to keep up.
- Strength – strength support comes from the NO3-T® betaines in Daily Pump. You’ll notice an increase in the amount of power you’re putting out, but if you’re used to high stim formulas then the effect might feel a bit weak by comparison.
Overall, Daily Pump offers some fantastic benefits in addition to living up to its name and delivering a truly incredible pump!
Who Takes It?
The main appeal of Daily Pump on its own is that it offers great pre-workout benefits without stimulants. This makes it interesting for anyone who does most of their workouts in the afternoon or evening, as it won’t leave you feeling restless at night.
If you are chasing the pump feeling in the gym, you can’t go wrong with Daily Pump. Things get really interesting though when you stack it with a traditional stim-based pre workout, which you may want to do to get the mental push and energy missing with Daily Pump.
Pairing Daily Pump with Harness (also by Arms Race Nutrition) means you get a double dose of citrulline and some nice synthesis between the formulas too. Huge energy spike + massive pump = a ridiculous combination!
Any Potential Side-Effects with Arms Race Daily Pump?
Because Daily Pump contains no stimulants, the possible side-effects should be minimal.

Arms Race Daily Pump Review: Final Word
You could argue that Daily Pump is a bit of a one trick pony. But it’s difficult to be mad at it for that, after all when it does that one trick so well, how can you be mad?! After all, no one looked at Dumbo and said, “can he doing anything besides fly?”!
Seriously though, achieving an intense pump during a workout not only feels amazing, it can be very motivating and provides benefits to muscle growth too. Using Daily Pump will ensure you get your pump on every time you work out.
For best results though, we recommend you stack it with a traditional pre-workout and reap the benefits of the pump combined with much higher power output and total rep count.
On its own, Daily Pump is great – we especially like that it’s stim-free. Even then, you should stack it with creatine for best results.
However, we don’t believe it’s quite as good as our favorite non-stim pre-workout this year.
