Madmonq is an interesting take on nootropics for general use, and supplements for more than exercise.
Let’s take a look at what it has to recommend it, if anything…

About MADMONQ
A self-titled “brain booster for gamers”, this product aims to bring nootropics to the gaming community for fast-twitch response times, decision making, and focus.
It’s aimed at providing cognitive performance and alertness, and we think it does a pretty good job of it. The list of ingredients tells you more than we can, so we’re going to dive right into it…
MADMONQ Supplement Facts
Directions for Use
The instructions for use make it clear: take one capsule 15-20 minutes before gaming. We recommend sticking with this, as the benefits are muted if you’re doubling up and ruining your sleep schedule.
The idea is a gentle buzz, not jitters and a heart rate that sounds like a drum solo. Stick with the label.

Herbal Extracts Blend
- Spectra
That’s a pretentious name for ‘herbal extracts that are good for you and support cognitive performance’.
- Ginseng
Most of the benefits of this blend come from the ginseng. It’s a proven immunity, mood, and cognition booster. It’s just a great herbal extract and we’re glad it’s here – primarily because the science holds up on this one.
- Schisandra
Pretty much unconfirmed for its overall benefits, but we do see a lot of stuff that suggests it can be great for reducing anxiety. This is a great combination to manage the anxiety some people feel with caffeine.
- Bacopa
Pretty much a weaker and less-useful version of the anti-anxiety effects in Schisandra. It has a protective benefit over anxiety but isn’t going to reduce anxiety levels. Good, but not great – we’re not too bothered by this ingredient either way.
- Golden Root
Could be a pretty cool neuroprotective herbal extract but it’s too early to say. Rhodiola, as it’s also known, is mostly useful for reducing fatigue and protecting you from stress. Which is pretty good, but not a huge addition when we consider other ingredients do much the same.
- European Blueberry
These actually improve cognition and provide antioxidant benefits. This makes them a great addition, but their cognitive benefits are mostly in reducing age-related cognitive decline.
They’re still cool for protecting your DNA and keeping you sharp. We like it.
Vitamin B6
This is one of the most important vitamins in the diet and it’s notoriously hard to get into your body. There’s never really a bad time to supplement vitamins, and especially not compounds that play hard-to-get like B6.
The supplementary dose is a step in the right direction for better health and performance. It contributes to regular energy production so you’re going to experience a healthier metabolism and better mental performance.
It’s good because there’s a pretty solid chance you’re already deficient in B6. If you can combat deficiency, this is going to produce a huge change at the physical and psychological level.
Vitamin B12
B12 shares a lot of similarities with B6; it regulates energy metabolism and is closely tied to perceptions of fatigue and performance. You’re going to see serious changes if you’re going from under-dosed to healthy levels.
It’s hard to get into your body – even through diet – so you’re going to benefit from putting some time and effort into supplementary doses of B12. This is another area where Madmonq is clearly offering health and wellness as a route to performance.
We like that approach and it’s going to be a more sustainable choice than a product that just used caffeine or other short-term boosters.
Zinc
This is another compound that is mainly aimed at your health and wellbeing. It’s an energy metabolism compound that is primarily concerned with getting the best energy and nutrients out of food and sending them where they’re needed.
Obviously, you can caffeinate and take supplements but if your food isn’t doing its job then you’re never going to feel energized!
Caffeine
This one is obvious; caffeine is the most common energy-boosting compound. It directly fights fatigue and improves mental focus, especially when you’re tired. These effects explain why coffee has been a huge cultural thing for the past 150 years.
The science around caffeine has already shown that it can improve physical and mental performance all by itself. However, it has specifically been shown to help reduce distractions and improve performance in complex decision-making.
If you’re looking for clear thinking, better strategy, and sharper executive function then it’s not even optional. Caffeine is the king of mental performance compounds, but you should also be careful when you take it – and how much.
Caffeine can disturb proper sleeping cycles if you’re taking too much or too late into the day. This can rapidly undo the good work of this product; sleep is incredibly important for better performance. Keep an eye on your intake and avoid too much late at night, especially.
Caffeine is also great when combined with crucial mental wellbeing amino acids like tyrosine and theanine. These are both also found in this product, so let’s talk about how they add up to better mental performance…

Tyrosine
Tyrosine is an amino acid that is mostly prized for its effects on mood and mental performance. It’s also great for protecting your brain from stress in the short-term, which the evidence suggests also improves memory.
This crucial brain amine is also tied up with the key neurochemicals noradrenaline and dopamine. The latter is one of the crucial ‘happy chemicals’ in the brain and this makes tyrosine a significant mood regulator.
The upshot of this compound is that you’re going to feel less stressed and more relaxed, but you’re also going to be performing better. Stress-resilience is great, and your brain will appreciate it!
Theanine
This is the best combination you could get when mixed with Caffeine. These two ingredients play together perfectly; theanine reduces the negative risks of caffeine while also building on the things you’re using it for.
The first thing is that it actually increases wakefulness compared to caffeine alone. That’s awesome because wakefulness and focus are the two key benefits you want from caffeine. This means even better mental performance and a more sustained sense of being focused and aware.
On top of that, it’s going to dial down any risks of side effects. It won’t affect all the risks – especially if you’ve got low caffeine tolerance – but it will definitely reduce shakes/jitters and the risk of headaches.
Theanine and Caffeine are the perfect 1-2 and this product packs both. It’s a huge benefit and it really shows us that Madmonq has been put together with thought and concern. This is a big win, in our opinion.
Choline
Choline is a key part of the important neurotransmitter, Acetylcholine. AcH, as it’s known, is a huge deal for mood, memory, and cognitive performance. If you can boost your levels, you’re onto a winner.
The oral supplementation of choline is one way you might be able to do that, and the Choline in Madmonq might help you along. It’s also found in foods like eggs, but it’s a useful compound to have in a supplement.
We’d like to see this combined with one other compound, however: Huperzine. Choline is good for boosting AcH levels in some conditions, but Huperzine would help reduce the breakdown of AcH. A combination like this would be even more beneficial.
We still like the choline in Madmonq, but some tweaks could make it even better!
Acetyl-L-Carnitine (ALCAR)
Acetyl-L-Carnitine is the best form of carnitine for producing significant psychological benefits. Carnitine is great for you, but the normal kind probably isn’t actually going to get into your body and do the thing you took it for.
ALCAR is more reliably useful. The benefits are primarily improved cognitive performance and combatting poor mood/mood disorders. ALCAR is a clinically proven way of improving most aspects of cognition, as well as combatting depression.
This makes it a pretty useful compound for your focus and rapid decision-making but also great for your mental health. After the combination of caffeine and theanine, this is our favorite ingredient.
Xylitol
Xylitol is a simple non-nutritive sweetener that offers a sugar-free alternative so that Madmonq doesn’t taste like amino acids.
There’s nothing wrong with sugar by itself, but it’s more fuel for short-term exercise than sitting at home clutching all damn night. Xylitol is also great for digestive health if you’re using this product as instructed, so that’s a nice little secondary benefit.
It’s derived from plants and is effectively a sweet form of fiber. That’s awesome, because sweetness and fiber are both cool, the latter is good for your gut. Accidentally getting healthier is one of the best things about this kind of product, so we’re big fans.

MADMONQ Formula analysis: Does it Work?
The formula for this product is well-designed. It’s out of the way of the more traditional caffeine-centered supplements that you might expect for exercise, but with the same consideration.
The idea of using a focus and cognitive support supplement for gaming is a pretty new one and we’re seeing this kind of product gaining traction. It’s not clear if this kind of product is going to be the best choice for a sedentary activity, but this formula is a good one.
If you’ve already decided you’re on the market for this kind of focus and response-time improvement, Madmonq is a pretty good choice.
Be aware, however, that there are some serious considerations when using a product like this, such as the timing of your use and your overall daily caffeine, for example. It could be very easy to misuse a product like this in a way that trades short-term focus for long-term sleep quality problems and reduced overall mood/performance. Make sure you’re using it as a balanced part of your lifestyle.
With that said, the actual benefits of this product extend from performance to health to long-term wellbeing. If you can use it properly and fit it into the bigger picture of your personal life, this is a quality product.
MADMONQ Benefits
The benefits that this product is marketed on – improved cognitive performance and focus – are totally legitimate. The compounds in this supplement are going to sharpen your reaction times, help you block out distractions, and improve executive decision-making.
The secondary benefits you probably haven’t considered are improved mental wellbeing, memory, and even mood support. These aren’t going to improve performance, but they will improve your life. You know, small stuff.
Getting the best benefits of this product come from combining it with a whole lifestyle that supports your mental performance. It might not be cool or logistically easy but getting your 8-10 hours of sleep, staying active, and getting a good diet all contribute to the exact same benefits that this product offers.
Combining them all just boosts your results and is going to improve literally everything about you as a human and gamer.
Any Potential Side Effects with MADMONQ?
There aren’t any really big side effects likely with this product. The two real considerations are things we’ve already touched on: your sleep quality/patterns, and your personal tolerance to caffeine.
Caffeine is great for focus, but it also amps you up in general. If you’re gaming in the evening, you’re going to struggle to bring yourself back down if you’re drinking caffeine. The half-life of caffeine is 6-8 hours, and you’re going to struggle to sleep during this period.
Even if you do sleep, the quality will be less than optimal. Obviously, sleep is great for the brain and you’re going to perform below your best if you’re sleep deprived. This is a risk for taking your caffeine late in the day and needs to be managed closely.
If you’re not very familiar with taking caffeine, you could also run into some mild side effects. Theanine combats these issues but they’re still possible, so you’d need to adjust your dose and build tolerance over time.
Aside from these, you’re not likely to run into significant side-effects. If you do have a pre-existing condition then you need to check with your doctor, since we can’t tell you what is going to affect you personally.
Overall, this product is safe for general consumption but should be used with some thought.
Who Takes It?
People who are going to be gaming competitively or seriously in their own time, and ideally in the morning/early afternoon. Time and sleep are a concern, as mentioned, so if you’re sitting down to play after dark, we can’t really recommend anything with caffeine in.
You know who shouldn’t use it? People with heart conditions or negative responses to caffeine tolerance. Everyone else should be fine – and there’s no reason you need to limit the use to the intended purpose of gaming.
If you’re studying for a big test or you’ve got something cognitively demanding, it’s probably a better choice than an energy drink or a triple mocha frappe-latte, or some other horrendous monstrosity.
You should use this if: you want to improve cognitive performance and mood. It’s really that simple.
MADMONQ Summary

MADMONQ Price & Buying Info
The product itself is pretty cheap – you’re going to get 28 capsules per container which is probably intended to be 4 weeks’ worth, if you’re taking it every day. The cost is relatively low, around 25 euros or $25-30.
The economy of the product is pretty good and honestly it compares well with other supplements on the market. There are obviously better and worse alternative, but Madmonq sits in the ‘above average’ category.
$1 per capsule is reasonable for this kind of thing, though the value for money would be better with a few small tweaks to the product itself. Some premium products show what this kind of change can offer, but otherwise Madmonq is a great choice.
MADMONQ Review: Final Word
We like Madmonq for its intended purpose, we’re just skeptical about how it might be used! It’s great to see the mental health benefits of this kind of product and the focus on nutrient-driven performance.
The best situation we see with this product is that it replaces existing caffeinated beverages. Instead of chugging an energy drink, getting a green tea and a Madmonq capsule could be a huge step up.
The benefits are good, the design is solid, and all-told we’re glad to see that the doses are pretty low. We can see the appeal for gamers as it’s made for that market – but for an dedicated nootropic brain booster, we still prefer our favorite called Mind Lab Pro.
