Nothing worse than studying for a test…
Only to realize that you’re not even in the class.
This happens to everyone, right? Of course it does, otherwise we’d have to think up of another analogy to start this article with that MAY OR MAY NOT BE REVIEWING THE RIGHT FORMULA.
What the hell does that mean, you ask?
It means that something is going down with either TestX Core‘s marketing team or formula, because different sites are advertising different formulas. For your sake, we hope it’s the marketing team that is off, because the formula we found has some definite male-raising potential.

About TestX Core
Formulated by Phenom Health (how cool is that name?), TestX Core is a PWO T-boosting men’s health supplement designed to help boost “free” T & enhance stamina. Or at least that’s how it’s advertised. In reality, it seems designed for one thing: Sex. Formula notes:
- Sex First: TestX Core sells itself as a muscle-enhancing PWO T-booster, but nearly all of its “muscle enhancers” read like libido boosters.
- Sex Hormones Second: If any testosterone boosting occurs with this formula, it’ll be thanks to its final two ingredients: Zinc + Fenugreek.
- Formula Mix-Up: Of course, the first two points depend on whether or not we’re even reviewing the right formula. TestX Core seems to have multiple personalities across the Internet.

Ups the pumps for the gym, bed, and beach (INSERT Sunglass Emoji)!
Or in the road, if you’re the Beatles.
At least, that’s what this formula seems to do, based on its sex-enhancing herbs & rinky-dinky Zincy (coming in hot quality & quantity). The problem is: We’re not sure if this is TestX Core’s actual formula.
Between TestX Core’s site and Amazon (where it’s sold), there seems to be a mismatch in ingredients advertised.
For now, we’ll discuss the ingredients advertised on the box (advertised on Amazon), but we’ll further explain the mismatch in the Formula Analysis–see if we can get to the bottom of this madness.
Here are TestX Core’s “Amazon ingredients”:
Horny Goat Weed Extract, 100 mg
You’ll find Horny Goat Weed in male-enhancing supplements not because it boosts testosterone, but because it enhances libido.
That’s right: It makes you (& goats) horny.
Typically, herbs that make you horny tend to also provide pre-workout advantages–it generally depends on what you’re currently in the mood for. With regards to HGW, it’s hard to call it an outright gym performance enhancer, but its T-mimicking benefits may provide some of the secondary benefits associated with effective testosterone boosters.
All the same, HGW won’t boost T.
Maca Extract, 100 mg
Maca is another sex-enhancing herb with practically no testosterone boosting benefits, but you do have to give it credit for performance enhancement at least. In fact, early Peruvian & Central American tribes would consume Maca before heading to battle, which is telling of its pro-energy, anti-fatigue benefits.
But, ya, no T-boosts with Maca.
Korean Ginseng Extract, 100 mg
Ginseng practically does it all.
This review could be on a nootropic stack, and I’d still be happy to see Ginseng here.
In terms of testosterone, Ginseng shows more promise than Horny Goat Weed & Maca, but it’s not at BEST for TEST levels like some T-boosters that I know. Even so, Ginseng’s benefits on sex & performance are well worth the investment, with some sparse evidence linking the herb to elevated “free T” levels (although, admittedly, some human evidence also suggests no interaction with testosterone levels).
Tribulus Terrestris Extract, 40 mg
I’m running out of interesting ways to say this:
Tribulus Terrestris boosts libido & energy, but not testosterone.
For some of you, this may come as a surprise, considering that Tribulus is in practically every testosterone booster stack. Even BIG-time T-booster stacks carry the stuff, despite doing little to nothing for T. While we have no beef with the herb, this should start to serve as a RED flag that TestX Core is prioritizing sex over sex hormones.
Zinc Citrate, 20 mg
Or perhaps we spoke too soon.
You know what absolutely does boost T? Zinc, baby.
Of all the minerals essential to male health, Zinc is perhaps the manliest–involving itself directly in the T-synthesis process as raw T material. For men at risk of low Zinc levels, which includes all of you sweaty athletes, Zinc supplements are especially important to male health.
TestX Core does you all a service by providing the mineral in top Citrate form at a heavy 20 mg dosage.
Fenugreek Extract, 200 mg
Another true T-booster coming in to save this T-booster’s identity as a T-booster.
However, Fenugreek is less T-booster and more T-protector as it doesn’t quite increase total T production so much as it elevates “free T” levels. For you athletic young’uns, this is arguably more important, considering that your overall T levels are just fine.
One bugaboo we have here: Fenugreek also diminished free DHT levels.
Which isn’t the best news as DHT is an even manlier hormone than testosterone. In this formula, it won’t be a problem–but if you’re also supplementing other DHT-inhibitors on the side, make sure you’re not overdoing it.
Formula Analysis
Thus far we’ve reviewed the Amazon ingredients, which look like this:
Yet, the list of ingredients posted on the TestX Core website include:
- Saw Palmetto
- Magnesium
- Panax Ginseng Root Extract
- Tongkat Ali
- Zinc
- Vitamin B6
- Fenugreek
- Lycopene
- Astaxanthin
- Tribulus Terrestris
- L-Arginine
- Taurine
- Boron
Given that there’s an in-depth video to accompany this list, describing the benefits of each ingredient, we’re assuming that this is either an old formula that needs to be updated, or a brand spankin’ new ingredient list.
Either way, it’s sloppy as haaayl. And in the supplement biz, sloppiness is definitely a RED flag.
Even so, both lists of ingredients aren’t bad. As we pointed out earlier, the Amazon ingredients are more sex than sex hormone boosters. Yet, what’s odd about this, usually formulas add such ingredients to notch in all the manly “horned up” feels of a T-booster–however, judging by the high number of shit reviews, TestX Core’s feel-goods aren’t doing much for the users.
Again, on paper, TestX Core looks good, but there’s a lotta fishy sheet going out that has us scratching our heads.
Frankly, we don’t like fish shit in our supplements.
TestX Core Benefits
What’s nice for these reviews is when manufacturers explicitly state their intended benefits on their website, with lists of in-depth hows and whys and all that explaining their benefits.
The problem: The benefits stated are for the ingredients not reviewed here.
All the same, TestX Core’s purported benefits are:
- Developed with the specific balance of male body chemistry
- Stimulates your body’s ability to produce optimal T levels
On Amazon’s page, the benefits emphasize TestX Core’s use as a pre-workout T-booster, with additional “Healthy Muscle Growth” support.
Who Takes It?
Unwittingly Horny Men. Or if you supplement TestX Core after reading this review, then wittingly horny men. Because that’s the main benefit of these ingredients: Libido, baby. While these herbs also make sense in a sports nutritional sense, we wouldn’t expect majorly significant gym gains with this stack.
Any Side Effects?
None reported, which is groovy. The only thing to look out for is a maple syrup smell in your sweat and urine. You can thank Fenugreek for that.
TestX Core Summary
Pros
- Sex-Enhancers. It may not be what you wanted here… But you still want it.
- Fenugreek + Zinc. This duo may deliver some testosterone action.
- Quality Forms. Not every dosage is on-point, but the ingredient extracts are.
Cons
- Weak T-Boosts. On the whole, this product is missing some major boosts.
- Weak Dosages. Not all dosages, but many need to be upgraded.
- Straight-Up Shenanigans. What the hell is the real formula?? This is not a good question to ask before buying a testosterone supplement.
Pricing & Buying Info
- 1 Bottle (1 month): $71.50
- Available to buy online and in retail stores
Final Word on TestX Core
TestX Core… More like TestXXX Core—am I right?? This is assuming that what you’re buying is even the formula reviewed here. Intuition tells us that the Amazon formula is right, otherwise we’d be hearing plenty more complaints. Yet, the fact that the complaints are high as is doesn’t bode well for the product already. Even so, if you’re looking to pump up the jam down below, TestX Core might help you out. Granted, there are cheaper options, but whatever floats your boat, dood.
