The first claim made by NooCube we wish to address in this NooCube review: “There are over 124,000 smarter people in the world today thanks to NooCube.”
First of all: Congrats, NooCube; that’s a lot of smartness.
And second of all… that’s not necessarily how nootropics work.
Even Limitless got this right by disclaiming that the film’s NZT-48 doesn’t make people “smarter” per se but rather unlocks their potential. And that’s what true, natural nootropics help us do: Unlock our potential. Not raise your IQ.
Weirdly enough, NooCube has a ton of potential with these awesome nootropics that it seems to fail to meet, due to a few poor design choices. But to understand what we mean by all that, you’ll need to read the NooCube review below.

About NooCube
NooCube is a walking paradox: it claims “nootropics are drugs,” yet supplies only natural nootropic ingredients. And it labels itself as a “proprietary” blend, yet displays a non-proprietary Supplement Facts. So, what the hell are we actually dealing with here? Formula notes:
- iX4 Proprietary Blend: NooCube stashes its 8-ingredient formula in the iX4 Proprietary Blend, capping out at 997.5 mg total per each 2 capsule serving.
- Cholinergic Brain Power: NooCube showcases an impressive cholinergic synergy with its memory enhancing nootropics, in addition to some catecholamine enhancement.
- Non-Smart Non-Drugs: These “smart drugs” aren’t exactly smart drugs, given their lack of synthetics and, well… smartness, at least in the quality and quantity categories.

NooCube showcases fine nootropic brain boosters in poor forms and meh dosages.
You can have all the right parts for a hard-hitting brain booster, but if they’re not sufficiently fine-tuned or they lack the numbers to carry their own weight …then, well, you’re simply supplementing fluff.
Frankly, with such awesome nootropics in this product, we have a hard time believing that NooCube is just a fluff stack. But we’ll need to take a look at the ingredients in this stack part-by-part before jumping to any conclusions. Check it:
NooCube Review: Ingredients
NooCube stacks eight nootropics in its iX4 Proprietary Blend, which, fortunately, isn’t actually a “proprietary” blend. At least no in the traditional sense. Whereas other prop blends obscure their individual ingredient dosages, NooCube opts for transparency …leaving us wondering why they called this a “Proprietary Blend”??
Regardless, it’s a welcomed mistake. Let’s check out the nootropics.
Bacopa – Sitting atop our BIG List of Nootropics, Bacopa monnieri is an awesome, effective memory enhancing herb, a particular favorite among academics. By inhibiting acetylcholinesterase, the enyzme responsible for acetylcholine breakdown, Bacopa may improve general cognition and memory. However, this plain powder stuff isn’t as good as Bacopa extract.
L-Tyrosine – Converting to catecholamine neurotransmitters (e.g., dopamine), L-tyrosine plays an important role in focus, energy, and concentration. This nootropic is best taken during high stress, high activity conditions. (Although, N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine is the preferred L-tyrosine supplement option, though.)
Cat’s Claw – Alpha BRAIN has popularized this antioxidant, anti-inflammatory herb among mainstream nootropic users. However, while Alpha BRAIN uses its patented ac-11® Cat’s Claw extract, NooCube supplies the plain powder stuff.
Oat Straw (10:1) – Finally, a concentrated herb. Oat straw extract seems to assist with cognition enhancement in acute, short-term spikes; best taken on an as-needed basis.
L-Theanine – Sourced from green tea leaves, L-theanine is a hugely popular nootropic amino, uniquely enhancing focus and creativity via alpha brainwave modulation. Many nootropic enthusiasts stack L-theanine with caffeine to reduce the drug’s jittery side effects.
Alpha GPC – Unlike standard choline, alpha-GPC may cross the blood-brain barrier, improving the brain’s acetylcholine and phosphatidylcholine activity. However, NooCube only supplies 50 mg alpha-GPC, which is pretty weak sauce.
Huperzia Serrata – Huperzine-A is an awesome semi-synthetic acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, sourced from Huperzia Serrata, powerful in tiny dosages. Yet, NooCube doesn’t supply Hup-A; only its non-extract source.
Resveratrol 98% – This antioxidant polyphenol is what makes a glass and a handful of grapes healthy and “life-extending.” Resveratrol may reduce oxidative stress, limiting the harmful, aging effects of free radicals throughout both the brain and body.
Formula Analysis
NooCube is a difficult nootropic supplement to mentally process (no pun intended). And this is for a few reasons, most notably:
- NooCube has fantastic ingredients but in weak, ineffective formats.
- The “proprietary” blend transparently displays its ingredient dosages.
- These pills are capsules, not cubes.
Not that we’re necessarily upset by the transparent, non-proprietary status on NooCube’s blend. Nor do we care so much how NooCube’s caps are packaged, so long as they’re clean and safe.
But even that’s slightly suspect: NooCube only lists “Magnesium Stearate” as an additive, which isn’t enough to create a functional capsule. So, what’s the deal, NooCube?
Having said that, NooCube does select a smart stack of brain healthy nootropics, paying special attention to cholinergic memory enhancement. As such, NooCube does have potential to be a major game-changer for the students of academia and life. But… we’re not entirely confident that NooCube has enough polish or power to fully live up to its potential.
NooCube Benefits
On the NooCube website, NooCube makes a few health benefit claims, including:
- Enhance your cognitive function
- Heighten your concentration and focus
- Improve your memory and learning
Better focus, better memory …Papa John’s.
As we’ve already stated, NooCube has all the right parts to deliver on these benefits. But it’s unlikely that they accomplish these benefits to such a substantial and significant effect to really have that much of an improvement on your mental game.
If anything, NooCube points its customers in the right direction: “These are the nootropics you should be taking for better cognitive function and health.” And then said customers should find a better stack with these ingredients.
Who Takes It?
Richie takes NooCube. Because NooCube only sells through the NooCube website, we’re only given the website’s testimonials to determine who is taking this stuff. Of course, such testimonials are likely tailored and/or hand-picked specifically to praise the product being sold. But if you trust the word of Richie M, CEO, then hell yes: “NooCube is the real deal!”
Any Side Effects?
Not with these ingredients. NooCube keeps its formula natural and safe, despite the supplement’s wish to view itself as a smart drug — it’s not. And that’s a good thing. Given NooCube’s lack of risky stimulants and synthetics, we don’t expect any significant risk of adverse effects with this formula, even if supplemented on a long-term basis.
NooCube Review Summary
Pros
- Smart Stack. Some of the best noots in 2018 fill this formula.
- Cholinergic Memory. Alpha-GPC, Bacopa, and Huperzia Serrata synergy.
- All Natural. Don’t believe the “smart drugs” claims: these pills are clean.
Cons
- Weak Potency. Almost all nootropics come in inferior, impotent forms.
- Low Dosage. Props to NooCube for showing the dosages …but they could be better.
- Sloppy Design. For a supplement that clearly knows what it’s doing …this supplement strangely doesn’t seem to know what it’s doing — e.g., “proprietary”??

Final Word on NooCube
NooCube reads like an elite nootropic stack, with a cool enough name and label to rank in the upper nootropic echelons. And on the surface, NooCube chooses some awesome nootropics backed by positive clinical research and reputation. But it drops the ball in two significant places: Quality and Dosage. It takes the cheap route on these otherwise top notch nootropic options. A shame given this stack’s potential …we’re not mad, we’re just disappointed …and, well, yeah, kind of mad, too.
