Bros like us are used to doing things which might not seem smart for most people.
Some of us like to squat 200 lbs. on top of a gym ball while others like to pull trucks with their abs of steel. As adventurous as we can get, we know our limits or when the stakes are high.
One good example is when taking really strong supplements… and judging by the label, Phenbuterol seems to lean towards the “Uh, I’ll pass,” spectrum. But is the danger real or is it just on paper? They advise a one-capsule serving but is it enough to hit Critical Mass dosages?
Let’s check it out!

About Phenbuterol
Phenbuterol is made by MuscleMeds and is said to be a “Maximum Strength Fat Burning Catalyst.” Oddly enough, the bottle design is simple and doesn’t really tell a story of maximum anything. Could looks be deceiving? Formula notes:
- Simple formula: It may have a lot of fancy words but it’s really just a five-ingredient stack.
- One serving: We’ve all seen this before on other fat burners and most were too weak to be good for one serving. Will one capsule be enough for Phenbuterol?
- Prop Blend: Guess we’ll have to do some smart guesstimates.

Phenbuterol Will Make You Buy A Bottle Of Theanine
Phenbuterol made use of pretty potent ingredients and at least half of it seems to be caffeine. And we’re expecting at least a small dose of theanine to counteract the stimulant effects but it ain’t there bro. It’s like a void in your life that you have to fill yourself and that ain’t right, man. That ain’t right.
(But hey, you can always take matters into your own hands and take Phenbuterol along with a separate nootropic stack that delivers a phat dose of L-Theanine).
Let’s break down the ingredients in this formula:
- Caffeine: The bulk of the weight goes to our #2 Fat Burner and looks centered around it too.
- Ilex paraguariensis. Fancy term for Yerba Mate, another caffeine source but with a slow-release effect.
- Advantra Z: A premium form of Synephrine known for its potency and safety. Synephrine works in synergy with caffeine and is considered a basic yet powerful fat burning stack.
- Grains of Paradise. A spice with similar composition to Ginger, it doesn’t have much as far as studies are concerned but the one it does have seems to imply its effects on boosting metabolism by specifically breaking down Brown Adipose Tissue and turning it into body heat aka thermogenesis.
- Rauwolfia. Nerve stimulant as well as an exotic fat burner. It works like Yohimbe except instead of yohimbine you call it rauwolscine bro. But it’s not standardized and looks underdosed.
Formula Analysis
Phenbuterol seems to draw its fat burning capabilities from its Caffeine-Synephrine stack, a combo that works so well bros like us consider it Old but definitely Gold. To support this stack is Yerba Mate’s slow-release of caffeine which provides you an extra boost of energy when the real Caffeine runs out.
Grains of Paradise seems to be their one ingredient that tackles the “Brown Adipose Tissue” claim. A low dose of 10 mg seems to be good enough based on a study but we’re not sure if Phenbuterol used the same alcoholic extract form. If it didn’t, then this is a small but terribly derpy ingredient.
Last on the list is Rauwolfia aka Yohimbe’s twin. It shares similar effects so we assume it also shares similar dosages. It’s just too bad studies rely on 15 mg of rauwolscine, its active compound. This means Rauwolfia here is most likely added as an afterthought.
Overall, Phenbuterol’s formulation is effective for energy and fat burning but definitely not for the kids. We’re just not sure if that BAT claim is for real, though, but chances are you won’t even think about it.
Phenbuterol Benefits
It will give you a good dose of energy as well as make you sweat as it cuts its way through fat. You’ll want to lift more and more with it and excessive sweat is definitely a sign that it works. They don’t make much claims about this, but we think there might be some sensory benefits in this formula too, that make working out feel gooooood.
Who Takes It?
It’s most likely for bros who want something not just strong but extra strong, guys who know their way through a supplement store and actually reads and understands the ingredients label. So no, it’s not for newbs.
Any Side Effects?
Ah yes, the deal breaker is definitely the overstimulation you will most likely feel. It doesn’t have any nootropic to balance it out so you’ll have a chance of experiencing anxiety, headaches, palpitations, hypertension, and a huge crash afterwards. Some users even report of stomach aches which is most likely caused by caffeine. Well, it’s basically an adrenaline booster so I guess you can say it comes with the package.

Final Word on Phenbuterol
Phenbuterol’s formula is one big stimulant stack with ingredients that might have synergy with one another. The only drawback is the lack of any nootropic to keep you calm and balance the side effects caused by its potent stimulants. We’re also not sure about its claim of specifically targeting Brown Adipose Tissue but it works where it matters and if you know the risks, and your body’s tolerance, then Phenbuterol is definitely deserving of at least one try.
