Here’s a fight that’s hard to describe.
TestoFuel vs. Ape Testosterone Booster is a match between two awesome, high-quality T-boosters, yes… but it’s also much more than that.
If you could imagine a ripped zookeeper wrestling with an oversized gorilla in an arena set on fire, stationed on a free-falling airplane over a volcano… That’s TestoFuel vs. APE.
The tension is surprisingly hot tonight given how evenly matched these two products look. However, you as the reader can relax, because regardless of which fighter survives this fight… You’re still getting a pretty awesome, high-quality T-booster in the end.

Round 1: Formulas
Both TestoFuel & APE are shooting for the same target: T-boosts that enhance performance. Regardless of which formula ends up on top, it’s the athletes who ultimately win this fight.
TestoFuel targets Young Bodybuilding.
Ranked at #4 on our 2016 ed. Best5 Testosterone Supplements, TestoFuel unites 9 different science-backed T-boosters, including 3 of our Best5 T-Boosters—DAA, D3, and Zinc.
Already we’re impressed, but what’s most impressive about this formula is how it combines a sports nutritional ZMA with the legendary man-herbs Panax Ginseng & Fenugreek to create synergistic T-boosts that also enhance performance.
The Oyster Extract only helps the formula’s synergy, reinforcing the vitamins & minerals with additional Zinc, Magnesium, and B6 (more ZMA).
Everything about this formula works and looks especially beneficial to young bodybuilders who are trying to augment their strength gains with a healthy T-profile. However, both younger & older users can benefit from Fenugreek’s spikes on libido.
APE mixes PWO with T-Boosting.
Acronymous for Alpha Performance Enhancer, APE throws a premium N.O. booster (GlycoCarn) into a pile of sex-enhancing, T-boosting vitamins, mineral, and herbs—including 2 of our Best5 T-Boosters: D3 and Zinc.
The idea is cool and surprisingly underutilized. GlycoCarn, being one of the best N.O. boosters available, gives this formula a huge edge on performance-enhancing—which is sort of the point of T-boosting, right?
Right… Except, while N.O. boosters allow immediate effects on performance, T-boosting supports general, all-around male performance—which is why we wish the N.O. boosting wasn’t prioritized over the T-boosting ingredients.
Aside from the “foundational” vitamins & minerals, APE goes with TestoSurge (Fenugreek) & EuryGold (Tongkat Ali) for decent T-boosts—Tongkat Ali is more sex-enhancer than T-booster—and Indole-3 Carbinol as a potential estrogen-blocker. Maca isn’t much of a T-booster either, but it’s solid for physical & sexual performance.
All-in-all, APE accomplishes what it set out to become: a PWO T-booster with a tasty side of sex-enhancement… But it’s overemphasis on PWO drags APE’s formula behind the more-focused TestoFuel formula that also enhances performance.
Round 1… TestoFuel Wins.
Round 2: Dosages
Despite the loss, APE fought clean & well in the first round… but the supplement loses its composure in this round, succumbing to a little Supp Fact devilry known as the Proprietary Blend.
TestoFuel, on the other hand, reveals all of its dosages (thank you, TestoFuel), which for the most part look decent:
- The vitamins & minerals are in adequate dosages, DAA is at a heavy 2300 mg—yet, we’d like to see more milligrams on those herbs (Panax Ginseng & Fenugreek).
APE’s Zinc (15 mg) has an edge on TestoFuel’s Zinc (10 mg), however TestoFuel’s D3 (5000 IU) has a five times larger edge on APE’s D3 (1000 IU). However, APE ultimately loses its footing by prioritizing GlycoCarn over TestoSurge, sacrificing Fenugreek’s portion of the 1305 mg blend for N.O. boosts.
While APE’s blend definitely allows enough room for all of its ingredients to have positive effects, we can’t know for sure until their dosages are revealed. TestoFuel reveals its dosages and gives us little to complain about.
We have to give this round to the cleaner fighter.
Round 2… TestoFuel Wins.
Round 3: Ingredient Quality
Perhaps APE is hiding its formula for a reason. One quick glance and something becomes very apparent: APE’s ingredients are at a better quality than TestoFuel’s.
Other than TestoFuel’s Zinc (Monomethionine and Aspartate), which outplays APE’s Zinc (Aspartate), TestoFuel lacks any standardization on its herbs, while APE goes with the high-potent, high-quality branded forms of its herbs.
Additionally, APE goes with the easily-absorbed P-5-P form of B6, while TestoFuel uses the lame, predictable Pyrodoxine HCl… meh…
Just when you thought this fight was over, APE goes apeshit in the ring, funking up TestoFuel’s premature celebration dance.
Round 3… APE Wins.
Round 4: Price
TestoFuel | VS. | APE | ||
1 Bottle (30-day supply) | $65.00 | 1 Bottle (20-day supply) | $42.99
Price Per Capsule | $0.54 | Price Per Capsule | $1.07
Price Per Serving | $2.17 | Price Per Serving | $2.14 |
Round 4… APE Wins.
Round 5: JUDGEMENT
Looks like we’re all tied up!
But are you surprised? Both TestoFuel & APE offer not only excellent T-boosts, but notable enhancements in performance & in bed. Essentially, it comes down to whether you want a more anabolically-driven T-booster (TestoFuel) or a PWO T-booster (APE)—either way, you’ll be set.
Because this isn’t one of those “everyone-gets-a-ribbon” affair, there has to be a winner here… And we’re going with TestoFuel.
The reason: TestoFuel has more T-boosters (Also, APE hides its dosages under a prop blend, which is a major dick move).
We like the PWO thing happening with APE, but if you want BIG boosts, then Testofuel is the safer bet.
In the TestoFuel vs. APE fight, the winner by Split Decision is…
