Hold tight, Captain — we’re approaching a storm.
A storm of ripped biceps and shredded abs, baby!
GET ON OUR LEVEL, MOBY-DICK. And the name of this storm is the aptly titled Test X180 Tempest, a pre-workout testosterone booster that features a unique, patented extract combo from which it gets its name: OXYSTORM®.
But does it actually work? Both as a pre-workout supplement and as a testosterone booster? Or is this another one of those gimmicky “hybrid” money grab stacks? Let’s read the Test X180 Tempest review to find out.

About Test X180 Tempest
Manufactured by Force Factor, Test X180 Tempest is a “Powerful Pre-Workout Testosterone Booster” that promises to amplify your exercise energy as well as increase your male hormone power. A hugely ambitious “hybrid formula” goal, but can Force Factor pull it off here? Formula notes:
- Athletic Domination Matrix: Hell yes, we want “Athletic Domination.” However, we’re not down for the proprietary status of this product’s blend.
- Pre-Workout: For PWO ingredients, Test X180 Tempest provides a few muscle pump enhancers with ATP energizing stamina boosters. All natural, all herbal.
- Testosterone Booster: Only a few worthwhile testosterone booster ingredients in this formula, none of which really have us all that excited.

Test X180 Tempest brings on a storm of questionably dosed proprietary blends, premium grade herbal extracts, and junky additives.
Having said all that, we’re slightly confident that the “questionably dosed proprietary blends” may be up to par here, given the 4 capsules serving size. But having said that, we’ll never know for sure whether each individual ingredient has been adequately dosed …So, instead we’ll grade the ingredients strictly on their quality. Check it:
Test X180 Tempest Review: Ingredients
Test X180 Tempest splits 2106 mg (~2.1 g) three ways, covering six ingredients overall. That’s purdy good, allowing for a potential average 351 mg per ingredient. And, for the most part, the ingredients are looking potent and hot, with Test X180 Tempest notching in a few patented extracts as well. Take for instance:
Muscle Pump and Performance Blend
OXYSTORM® Joseph’s Coat Leaf Extract – The tempestuous OXYSTORM, a patented red spinach extract. Rich in nitrates, this herbal ingredient seems to benefit sports performance by increasing circulation for better bodily oxygen delivery.
Ginkgo Extract – Ginkgo also benefits exercise performance (especially when coupled with the next herb) by improving red blood cell circulation, having a noticeable, nootropic effect on cognitive performance as well.
Next-Level Energy and Velocity Complex
Rhodiola Root Extract – Rhodiola is more anti-fatigue than it is pro-energy. Even so, it’s a powerful, potent adaptogen that benefits training and testosterone levels with its reliable reduction on stress hormone cortisol levels.
elevATP® Ancient Peat and Apple Extract – Clinically researched, proprietary combination of ATP production stimulating extracts. Improves energy levels as well as exercise stamina.
Testosterone Amplification System
Testofen® Fenugreek Extract – Ooh bayba bayyyba — fenugreek is a hugely popular, natural testosterone booster for its potential to “free up” SHBG-bound testosterone; however, it’s most noticeable improvements on male health: sex and libido. (Also, fenugreek’s bio-active saponins make your urine and sweat smell like maple syrup, so be prepared.)
Chrysin – The only ingredient we outright dislike in this formula. Not too sure why supplements still use this ineffective testosterone booster, which practically has an oral bioavailability rating of zero. However, it does work if you inject it directly into your testes, so…
Formula Analysis
Midway through this Test X180 Tempest review, we forgot that we were reviewing a testosterone booster, thinking this was a pre-workout supplement …until we remembered that Test X180 Tempest advertises itself as a “Powerful Pre-Workout Testosterone Booster.” Which, for the most part, seems correct.
Let’s deconstruct that claim part-by-part:
“Powerful” — Test X180 Tempest does provide powerful, potent ingredients, stacking some hot, patented, herbal extracts rather than their plain powder counterparts. Although a couple B vitamins have room for improvement (e.g., B6 should be P-5-P, not pyridoxine HCl). Even so, the leading ingredients are on point.
“Pre-Workout” — Yes, Test X180 Tempest does well on the pre-workout angle, providing a couple muscle pump boosters (OXYSTORM and Ginkgo) as well as muscle stamina enhancers (Rhodiola and elevATP). To a degree, Rhodiola may also assist with muscle recovery, adding a slight post-workout edge to this formula as well.
“Testosterone Booster” — Perhaps this is why we forgot we’re dealing with a testosterone booster here: the test boosts aren’t the best. While Rhodiola and Fenugreek are awesome, powerful herbs for male health and performance, we’d rather see some of the heavier, more ballsy ingredients found at the top of our BIG List of T-Boosters. E.g., D-Aspartic Acid, Zinc, Mucuna pruriens… As such, Test X180 Tempest qualifies as a mid-to-low range test booster that’s still great for male health.
As far as the product quality goes, this may also use improvement. We’re seeing some junky additives and colorants that Force Factor could do without. Because, frankly, who gives a fudge how the capsules look!
Test X180 Tempest Benefits
Force Factor claims (word for word) that Test X180 Tempest may help:
- Gain Formidable Muscle
- Achieve Untamed Energy
- Unlock Extreme Endurance
Hyperbolic rhetoric (“Untamed” and “Extreme”) aside, these claims seem spot on. The first two blends in this formula, for example, seem to provide some actually formidable ergogenics. Taken over a period of a few days, we can see this supplement crafting a significant advantage for muscle building athletes. And the best part: the ingredients are all legal and natural (insomuch that herbal extracts are natural).
Who Takes It?
Weight Trainers. The ginkgo + rhodiola combination, in particular, has been found in clinical research to improve exercise endurance. Men solely looking to increase their testosterone levels, on the other hand, may do better by a ballsier testosterone booster.
Any Side Effects?
Test X180 Tempest stays away from risky prohormones and stimulants, keeping its formula clean and fresh (with exception to the additives). For the most part, the customer reviews are generally positive on this pre-workout testosterone booster, with virtually zero mention of negative side effects. Frankly, nothing on the label lifts any red flags.
Test X180 Tempest Review Summary
Pros
- Potent Extracts. Force Factor dishes out a few, patented, premium ingredients here.
- Muscle Power. The PWO ingredients may significantly benefit your muscle gains.
- Natural. For the most part, Force Factor keeps it formula clean with natural compounds.
Cons
- Unnatural. Naturally, Force Factor loses its all natural status with its junk caps.
- Proprietary. Even worse, Force Factor hides all of its natural ingredients’ dosages.
- Weak Test Boosts. Pre-workout? Yes. Testosterone booster? Meh…
- Chrysin. An exceptionally weak test booster that, while it does boost testosterone, does not work when consumed orally. And, like, everyone knows this, guys. What the heyl.

Final Word on Test X180 Tempest
Few supplements can successfully pull off the “hybrid” formulations. And in many cases the “hybrid” formula seems to be more of a gimmicky money grab than anything else. In Test X180 Tempest‘s case: it’s neither a gimmicky money grab nor a successfully pulled hybrid. It’s a formidable PWO stacked with only okay testosterone boosters. And so, in conclusion to our Test X180 Tempest review, our final recommendation: Buy for the muscle pumps, not the test boosts.
