When bad behavior goes down in your neighborhood, who do you call:
- The Sheriff
~ Or ~
- Chuck Norris
The same question applies to testosterone levels. When you see your T count drop, you have two choices here: The sheriff of T-boosters, Six Star Testosterone Booster, or the Chuck Norris of boosts, the one & only Prime Male.
The call is easy, but, for those of you who are still unsure, let’s undo your unsureness in this booster v. booster review.

Round 1: Formulas
If you’re planning on going against the KING of T-boosters with only 4 ingredients (3, if you discount Calcium), then you damn well better have some powerful ass ingredients.
Let’s see how powerful Six Star’s (a.k.a. Six Star Pro Nutrition Testosterone Booster Elite Series from the Makers of Muscletech, ::phew::) ingredients are:
Six Star saves muscle mass and testosterone.
On that note, Six Star Testosterone Booster is less pro-booster and more anti-diminisher. Let’s call it the sheriff supp: It saves the male body against the criminals of low T levels & low muscle gains:
- Cortisol, stress hormone
- Aromatase, enzyme responsible for converting T to estrogen
- SHBG, binds & deactivates T
By mixing adaptogenic Rhodiola with B5 favorite Boron, Six Star works to inhibit the above-listed criminals for increased “free” T levels and increased anabolic muscle gains.
The Rhodiola + Ginkgo Biloba combo was chosen based on a study that associated the duo with increased “endurance performance in healthy volunteers.” This makes sense considering Rhodiola’s adaptogenic qualities & Ginkgo Biloba’s pro-circulatory bio-actions, but we’re not so sure that the study fully applies here for reasons we’ll state in Round 2.
Otherwise, Six Star is a purdy groovy, albeit simple natural test booster (-saver*).
Prime Male is the reigning T-booster KING.
In our write-up and other reviews, it’s hard to find flaws ing Prime Male natural test formula.
We realize that’s a bold statement, but check the facts, it is true — Prime Male has:
- All 5 of our Top 5 T-boosters: D-Aspartic Acid, Zinc, Mucuna Pruriens, Vitamin D, and Boron.
- SHBG & Aromatase Blockers: Stinging Nettle, Boron, & Luteolin.
- Potent Synergy: K2 potentiates D3; D3 potentiates Magnesium; Magnesium ups D3’s bio-activity.
Unlike your typical bodybuilding booster, Prime Male focuses less athletics and more on actually boosting clinical levels of testosterone. The result being testosterone effects that not only could help athletes & professional bodybuilders with strength, workout performance, but may aid more important functions for older men with diminished T levels—i.e. mature 40+ age men.
We’ll take youthful vigor over slight muscle benefits any day of the week.
Round 1… Prime Male Wins.
Round 2: Dosages
Here’s the strange thing(s) about Six Star Pro Nutrition Testosterone Booster:
- The formula only has 3 ingredients (minus the negligible amount of Calcium).
~ Buuuut ~
- The Ginkgo Biloba dosage is damn near microscopic.
We’re talking 2.7 mg, or 5.4 mg daily when you account for the daily dose of servings with Six Star. We highly doubt that this amount will accomplish the increased endurance performance demonstrated in the Rhodiola + Ginkgo Biloba study.
Prime Male, on the other hand, demonstrates damn near perfection yet again.
Not only do they supply more ingredients than Six Star, but they supply higher dosages for those ingredients.
Hell muh’funkin’ yee.
Round 2… Prime Male Wins.
Round 3: Ingredient Quality
The least Six Star Pro Nutrition could do then is supply quality ingredients for its 3-(technically 4-)ingredient formula, right? They could actually do less than that, but luckily they don’t: For the most part, Six Star’s ingredient qualities look gud.
Like, in a passable sort of “gud.”
The Boron is in prime condition and we see that the Rhodiola & Ginkgo are in extract form, but we’d like to know what are the extracts? What’s being extracted?
For instance, Prime Male shows us that its Mucuna Pruriens is 15% L-DOPA and that its Nettle Root is a 10:1 extract. Even its non-herbal ingredients are in top-form—e.g. the rare, super potent D-AA-CC form of D-Aspartic Acid.
We’ll keep this round short.
You should know who the winner is by now.
Round 3… Prime Male Wins.
Round 4: Price
|Six Star Testosterone||VS.||Prime Male|
|1 Bottle (15-day supply)||$9.99||1 Bottle (30-day supply)||$69.00|
|Price Per Capsule||$0.17||Price Per Capsule||$0.58|
|Price Per Serving||$0.33||Price Per Serving||$2.30|
Round 4… Six Star Testosterone Booster Wins.
Round 5: JUDGEMENT
So there you go: The only reason to choose Six Star Pro Nutrition Elite Series Testosterone Booster is because it’s waaaay cheap.
We’re talking $9.99 cheap. In the T-boosting world, that’s waaaaaaaaay cheap. And, honestly, we’d say that it’s cheap enough to stack with Prime Male. Considering that the only overlapping ingredient in the formulas is Boron, these two boosters could go well together.
Think about it: Prime Male’s potent T-boosts with Six Star’s adaptogenic Rhodiola?
That’s a match made in heaven, baby. But, if you plan to buy one of these products, price not being a factor, then don’t fool yourself: Nothing beats the lion king of male supplements.
