- Support healthy T levels while controlling estrogen
- Increase lean muscle & sexual function
Prime Male is a scientifically-driven natural formula, and it is supposed to:
- Elevate energy and overall vitality

- Stimulate lean muscle mass development
- Promote strong bones
- Boost mood and sleep neurotransmitters
How are the formulas of P6 Chrome and Prime Male similar?
P6 Chrome and Prime Male are both testosterone boosters which contain estrogen-blocking ingredients. However, despite their similar claims, these two formulas have no ingredient in common. We won’t be able to compare similar ingredients in here.
In fact, these two formulas have very different ingredients:
P6 Chrome has these ingredients, which are not in Prime Male:
- Adaptest™ Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) Root Extract
- Tribulus Alatus Fruit Extract
- Fenugreek (Trigonella Foenum-graecum) Seed Extract
- Agaricus bisporus Fruit Extract
- 3,3’-Diindolylmethane
Prime Male has these ingredients in these forms, which are not in P6 Chrome:
- BioPerine®
- Mucuna pruriens (standardized to 15% levodopa)
- Korean Red Ginseng 4:1 extract (root)
- Nettle Root 10:1 extract
- D-Aspartic Acid Calcium Chelate (D-AA-CC)
- Boron (as boron amino acid chelate)
- Luteolin
- Magnesium (as magnesium citrate)
- Vitamin B6 as P-5-P
- Vitamin D3
- Vitamin K2 (as Menaquinone-7)
- Zinc (as zinc citrate)
Which is the better formula?
Prime Male is the better formula based on the potent nutrient combinations and listed dosages. There are 12 active ingredients in Prime Male; compared to active ingredients found in P6 Chrome. In addition, DIM in P6 Chrome isn’t really a very beneficial ingredient since some studies demonstrated that it decreased testosterone in men. On the other hand, Prime Male only included beneficial ingredients for you which are scientifically proven to be effective.
The estrogen-blocking ingredients in P6 Chrome, namely Agaricus bisporus fruit extract and DIM, are not as potent as luteolin which is in Prime Male. In this case, Prime Male offers the better estrogen-blocking ingredient. P6 Chrome promises a lot of benefits for you, but it seems that the ingredient choices are not as good as the ones found in Prime Male.
P6 Chrome has a proprietary blend containing five ingredients which only states the dosage of the entire formula. This might be a problem, since you won’t really know the dosage of each ingredient that you ingest. On the other hand, Prime Male was able to clearly list the dosages of all of its 12 active ingredients, so it is quite baffling why P6 Chrome didn’t list the individual dosages of its five active ingredients.
Quality Comparison
P6 Chrome | Prime Male | |
Branded ingredients | Adaptest™ Ashwagandha (Withania Somnifera) Root Extract | BioPerine® |
Enhanced Botanicals | None | Mucuna pruriens (standardized to 15% levodopa), Korean Red Ginseng 4:1 extract (root), Nettle Root 10:1 extract |
Other advanced forms | None | D-Aspartic Acid Calcium Chelate (D-AA-CC), Luteolin |
Clean Label | No. Other ingredients include: Capsule Shell (Gelatin, Titanium Dioxide), Rice Flour, Stearic Acid, Magnesium Stearate, Silicon Dioxide | No. Other ingredients include: Gelatin, Titanium Dioxide, FD&C Red 40. |
Advanced Delivery | No, plain gelatin capsule. | No, plain gelatin capsule. |
Non-GMO | Yes | Yes |
Stim-Free | Yes | Yes |
P6 Chrome uses a high-quality and branded from of Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) root extract and this is a really potent testosterone booster. On the other hand, Prime Male used a branded black pepper extract (BioPerine®) not because it is a testosterone booster, but because it boosts the bioavailability of all other ingredients in the stack. Quality is present in both supplements. However, P6 Chrome failed to use standardized herbs, so some ingredients might be of questionable quality and potency.
The active ingredients of P6 Chrome and Prime Male are contained in capsules. P6 Chrome uses capsules with a lot of artificial and natural fillers, while the capsule of Prime Male remains simple and free from unnecessary and inactive ingredients. Knowing the capsule quality is essential since it delivers the active ingredients to your body.
Price Comparison
P6 Chrome | vs. | Prime Male
1 Bottle (30 servings) | $39.99 | 1 Bottle (30 servings) | $69
Price Per Serving | $1.33 | Price Per Serving | $2.30 |
The price of P6 Chrome is from GNC in 2018. But you can also buy P6 Chrome from Bodybuilding.com and Amazon which might be able to offer a better deal to make you save a few dollars. You can only shop for Prime Male directly from the manufacturer’s website (www.primemale.com) and you won’t find better prices for Prime Male elsewhere since it is only available from one source.
P6 Chrome only has five active ingredients, while Prime Male has 12 active ingredients. This might be the primary reason behind the price difference between these two supplements. P6 Chrome is able to deliver two testosterone-boosting ingredients and two estrogen blockers which offer good benefits, especially if you’re bodybuilding and it is cheap, too. However, the ingredients of Prime Male offer more benefits than the formula of P6 Chrome, hence the price difference.
- In terms of pricing, P6 Chrome is cheaper than Prime Male and this is due to the fewer active ingredients offered by P6 Chrome. If you just want a plain testosterone booster with a bonus of estrogen-blocking ingredients, you’ll be fine with P6 Chrome. However, if you want seven benefits in one supplement, Prime Male is definitely worth every dollar.
P6 Chrome vs. Prime Male: Which is Better?
Prime Male is obviously better than P6 Chrome when it comes to the formulation. The active ingredients of Prime Male are all science-backed. This is in sharp contrast to some of the ingredients of P6 Chrome, which have conflicting scientific evidences. The proprietary blend didn’t really make P6 Chrome superior, but it made us lose confidence in the formula itself since it did not disclose vital information regarding the dosages and percentage standardization of its ingredients.
Prime Male offers better quality of active ingredients and capsules, since P6 Chrome put in too many additives in the capsule itself, which could’ve been room for other active ingredients. Prime Male might be about a dollar more expensive than P6 Chrome per serving, but it is one of the best testosterone boosters in the market today, which makes it worth every dollar that you’ll spend on it.
