Side-by-side, these T-boosters are practically the same height:
- Cellucor P6 Xtreme has 9 ingredients
- Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone has 8 ingredients
However, apparently that extra ingredient has everyone hyped, because Cellucor P6 Xtreme’s formula is damn near twice the price of Nugenix Ulimate Testosterone’s–and Nugenix’s is frickin’ expensive on its own, dammit.
So, because we’re greedy bitches that are easily swayed by dollar signs, we decided to do away with all that shine, strip these formulas butt naked, and throw them into the ring to see which one is simply better at boosting T. Let’s get to it:

Round 1: Formulas
The only T-booster to beat Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone is Prime Male, and that’s one scary ass T-booster. So P6 Xtreme is going to have to be even scarier assier than Prime Male if it hopes to have a chance in this fight.
P6 Xtreme experiments with a hybrid 5-in-1 T-booster design.
More often than not, if you hear the words “hybrid” or “experimental” associated with a T-booster, you can bet that it doesn’t work. However, if you make that bet against P6 Xtreme, you’re going to lose money.
Because P6 Xtreme works, supplying 5 different categories of ingredients:
- Test Boosters. Ashwagandha, Tribulus, Ovine Placenta.
- Focus/Mood Support. A-GPC, Zembrin.
- Estrogen Regulator. Agaricus Bisporus.
- DHT/Prostate Support. Saw Palmetto, Stinging Nettle.
- Sexual Health/Energy Support. Tongkat Ali.
And, with exception to Tribulus & Tongkat Ali (which need to swap places), most of these ingredients check out. The only problem is: None of the T-boosters are quote-unquote “EXTREME.”
You won’t see any of these ingredients topping our BIG LIST of T-Boosters. There are qualified T-boosters here, but none of them ball-droppers. Likewise, the nootropics A-GPC & Zembrin are solid nootropics, but perhaps not the best for enhancing the mind-muscle connection—as you’d expect from nootropics in an athletic male-enhancing formula.
Regardless, P6 Xtreme earns the moniker “Xtreme” for its extremely successful 5-layered approach on male health.
Nugenix Ultimate T damn near TOPS the charts on testosterone.
And the charts we’re referring to are our very own 2016 ed. Best5 Testosterone Supplements list—it doesn’t get more prestigious than that.
Compared to P6 Xtreme, Nugenix Ultimate T has less of the intricate layered design, instead opting for straight, actually extreme T-boosts—3 of which can be found on our top 5 list:
- D-Aspartic Acid. Our numero uno favorito boosterito, directly increasing T-synthesis.
- Mucuna Pruriens. Supplies L-DOPA, precursor to dopamine, thereby indirectly increasing T production & GH secretion
- Boron. The second manliest mineral (to Zinc), shown to inhibit T-killers SHBG & estradiol.
The remaining ingredients involve a mix of impressive herbal T-booster extracts (Fenugreek, Stinging Nettle, Tongkat Ali) and potent natural sex-enhancers (Horny Goat Weed & Maca). Combined with the extreme T-boosters, all of these herbs work towards the same goal: Restoring male energy, strength, & vigor to youthful levels.
Which should explain how this formula is successful—it’s crafted for those who need T-boosters: Mature 30+ year old men. P6 Xtreme, on the other hand, is targeting younger bodybuilding demographics, which explains its inferiority to Nugenix.
As such, we have to go with the T-booster that better boosts T.
Round 1… Nugenix Ultimate T Wins.
Round 2: Dosages
There’s really one thing we need to say in this round:
- P6 Xtreme allots 2600 mg for a 9-ingredient prop blend, whereas Nugenix sets aside 3000 mg for just one ingredient (D-Aspartic Acid).
Plus, Nugenix steers clear from proprietary blends altogether, which is commendable in its own right.
For the record: 2600 mg is enough to get the job done on P6 Xtreme’s 9 ingredients. In actuality, this is a pretty impressive dosage, considering that most prop blend formulas tend to shortchange themselves in the milligram department.
Yet, regardless if this is enough, we don’t know the actual dosages of each individual P6 Xtreme ingredient. Nugenix, on the other hand, shows all of their ingredient dosages, and they look daaaaamn good.
Round 2… Nugenix Ultimate T Wins.
Round 3: Ingredient Quality
This is a tough round: Because both formulas look solid.
Considering that P6 Xtreme & Nugenix Ultimate T rely heavily on herbs, the quality of their ingredients can have a major impact on the bio-efficacy of their T-boosts. Luckily, both formulas stick premium, potent-ass extracts—P6 Xtreme showcasing a little extra love by opting for quality branded extracts.
In terms of improvements, there are very little we can spot out (or want to mention at the risk of sounding like little bitches). Nugenix’s D-Aspartic Acid could be upgraded to the more potent D-AA-CC form… That’s really about it.
And because that’s about it, and because P6 Xtreme pays a little extra for the ® and ™ extracts, Cellucor earns its first round in this match-up.
Round 3… P6 Xtreme wins.
Round 4: Price
P6 Xtreme | VS. | Nugenix | ||
1 Bottle (30-day supply) | $169.99 | 1 Bottle (30-day supply) | $89.99
Price Per Capsule | $1.42 | Price Per Capsule | $0.75
Price Per Serving | $5.67 | Price Per Serving | $3.00 |
Round 4… Nugenix Ultimate T Wins.
Round 5: JUDGEMENT
If after all this, you’re still unsure which one is the better, then let us put it into simpler, bulletin-point terms:
- Nugenix Ultimate T has better T-boosts than P6 Xtreme
- Nugenix Ultimate T is damn near half the price of P6 Xtreme
- P6 Xtreme has nootropics. Nugenix aids mature men’s health.
Those are really the key differences of each T-booster.
Nugenix is undoubtedly the better T-booster, especially for men with low T levels (which is sorta the reason to supplement T-boosters)—but P6 Xtreme does have its advantages for the younger bodybuilding dood. That’s really the only reason can state for choosing P6 Xtreme over Nugenix Ultimate T: You’re a younger bodybuilding dood.
Otherwise, we’re giving this fight to the BIG dawg Nugenix.
