You know, many of us weren’t really given a choice in the whole Fahrenheit vs. Celsius debate. And, frankly, that pisses me off: what if I like Celsius better than Fahrenheit??
Celsius Heat seems to have taken a stand against this BS, giving us Celsius bros a true and proper Celsius pre-workout / fat burner supplement. And not only that but they gave us several Celsius flavor options, including: Inferno Punch, Cherry Lime, Strawberry Dragon Fruit …Tangerine Grapefruit.
Okay, you know what, perhaps Celsius Heat isn’t the most “manly” supplement out there, but, dammit, it takes a real bad ass to handle Celsius Heat’s hotly caffeinated energy drink content. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. Let’s read the Celsius Heat review to get the full picture on this bad boy.
About Celsius Heat
Forget Fahrenheit. Celsius Heat has proven that celsius is the true alpha heat scale with its hot PWO / fat burning liquid formula. Except Celsius Heat’s heat seems to be coming not from its fat burners but from its exercise energizers. Namely caffeine. What’s the dealio? Formula notes:
- Citrulline: To advance the standard Celsius formula, Celsius Heat smartly adds this smart N.O. boosting ingredient — citrulline — for enhanced vascularity.
- More Caffeine: Previous Celsius formulations contained 200 mg caffeine. Well, guess what: Celsius Heat has decided that ain’t enough and ramped it up to 300 mg.
- MetaPlus Prop Blend: Yes, it is a proprietary blend, which stinks. But it also contains a couple notable fat burners, including green tea extract and ginger extract.

Celsius Heat looks like an energy drink, tastes like an energy drink, but works like a PWO fat burner.
Which doesn’t mean it’s not an energy drink — Celsius Heat still carries many of the energy drink favorites — but it’s a healthier energy drink. A healthier energy drink with healthier goals: enhanced exercise performance and reduced body fat. But is the liquid bottle design at all necessary or just a cheap gimmick? Let’s find out.
Celsius Heat Review: Ingredients
The star ingredient covered in this Celsius Heat review:
Citrulline – Potentially superior to L-arginine, citrulline boosts circulation by enhancing nitric oxide (N.O.) production. One of the more popular pre-workout performance ingredients.
Celsius Heat sets aside a solid 2 gram dosage for this PWO N.O. booster, giving you the pumps you need for a solid workout. But where does the fat burning angle come into play? Right here:
MetaPlus Proprietary Blend
Celsius Heat just had to give in to the proprietary blend. This is unfortunate as the proprietary blend masks the individual ingredient dosages of each ingredient it contains. Nonetheless, here are Celsius Heat’s MetaPlus Proprietary Blend ingredients:
Taurine – Best known for its use in Red Bull (and other popular energy drinks), Taurine sort of qualifies as a nootropic for its relaxing cognitive effects. Although, this amino doesn’t quite enhance cognition.
Guarana Extract – Guarana essentially works as a fat burner due to its rich caffeine content (more caffeine even than coffee), yet this herb may also help control appetite and gastric emptying.
Green Tea Extract – Our #1 fat burner ingredient, green tea extract provides powerful, potent antioxidants, which help raise resting metabolic rate and thermogenesis. A solid choice.
Caffeine – Despite being just caffeine, this stimulant drug seems to assist with cAMP and norepinephrine activity, amplifying metabolic energy production while promoting fat breakdown.
Glucuronolactone – Another popular energy drink ingredient, glucuronolactone is somewhat of a head-scratcher, given that no one fully knows what it does. It might protect cardio health? But that’s about all we can say about this one.
Ginger Extract – As a digestive aid, ginger may help block fat absorption in the digestive tract, potentially benefiting overall fat loss. Additionally, the herb’s bio-active zingerone constituent may also help boost lipolysis (fat breakdown) while blocking fat storage.
Whereas our standard Celsius review lists under the “fat burner” category, this Celsius Heat Review earns a spot on the “pre-workout” bench for a couple additions to the Celsius formula here:
- 2 g Citrulline – for vascular PWO pumps.
- Additional caffeine – for more, More, MORE ENERGY!!
Essentially, Celsius Heat is the same fat burner /energy drink hybrid as the standard Celsius formula but with more of a pre-workout kick. (Even though the original Celsius’s directions recommend consuming immediately prior to exercise.)
Frankly, I think the additions are ultimately a plus. Or at least the Citrulline addition is a plus, given this ingredient’s massive popularity among exercisers and bodybuilders.
Is the 100 mg extra caffeine necessary here? Not quite. In fact, that’s more caffeine than many supplement customers want in a serving, with seemingly more and more PWO users turning to non-caffeinated sources. However, as an energy drink, Celsius Heat’s caffeine makes sense: caffeine IS energy, dood!
Having said that, Celsius Heat packs more potential as an energizing, git-yer-pump-on pre-workout supplement than a realistic fat burner. This isn’t a liquid supp you’ll want to just sit and sip on.
You’ll need to be moving and grooving with this bad boy to unlock its full benefits.
Celsius Heat Benefits
Celsius Heat makes only a few benefit claims with this PWO fat burner formula:
- Accelerates metabolism
- Burns fat
- Provides healthy energy
And if you qualify caffeine as “healthy energy,” then sure! Celsius Heat accomplishes all of these benefits, and potentially more. Yet, even if you’re not a caffeine fan, Celsius Heat is undoubtedly a healthier alternative to your standard Red Bull or Monster energy drinks. Which is definitely a FAT bonus here.
Who Takes It?
Energy Drink Addicts. All you caffeine freaks looking to kick the sauce but just can’t quite go all the way: Celsius Heat has your back. In fact, that’s who we envision benefiting the most from this supplement, given that the more intense bodybuilders and weight trainers will likely turn to more hardcore fat burner / PWO supplements. Celsius Heat operates as an entry-level supplement, potentially even attracting the competitive gamer crowd as well.
Any Side Effects?
Take a wild guess which ingredient has people complaining… that’s right: caffeine. While most of the customer Celsius Heat reviews are positive, the occasional “this drink had my heart racing!!” review can be found. Whether or not you’re caffeine sensitive, our recommendation: try stacking this stimulating supplement with an L-theanine rich cognitive enhancer.
Also: only drink one can at a time. Don’t want to see any Four Loko repeats here.
Celsius Heat Review Summary
- Citrulline. A mighty fine addition to the Celsius formula, my friends.
- More Caffeine. Or more energy — a “pro” if you’re a caffeine nut.
- B Vitamins. Who doesn’t like B vitamins, am I right??
- Flavorful. Not into Inferno Punch? Lucky you: there’s also Strawberry Dragonfruit.
- Healthier. Than an energy drink. Even though it’s pretty much an energy drink, just sugar-free and completely Kosher.
- More Caffeine. A “con” if you’re a caffeine hater.
- Proprietary. What’s up with the sudden shift to not showing your dosages, eh?
- Mild Fat Burns. Could be a bit better for us fatties.
- Expensive. 12 cans at that price adds up very quickly
Pricing and Where to Buy
- 12 Bottles (12 days): $29.96
- Available online and in retail stores
You can buy Celsius Heat through numerous retailers, including Amazon, Bodybuilding, The Vitamin Shoppe, 24-hour Fitness, and more. These bottles are everywhere.
Final Word on Celsius Heat
Celsius Heat Review: It’s definitely better than other energy drinks. And it’s better than many pre-workout supplements, too, both in content and quality. But do its fat burners justify the “Heat” added to the name? Meh… if they do, then they only just hit the mark — on the absolute fringe of their fat burning target. There’s no denying the thermogenic fat burning powers of caffeine and green tea extract, and we’re feeling good about Celsius’ liquid potency. Even if it tastes like a martini mixed drink.
