High-definition is officially a thing of the past.
It’s all about that super high-def now.
Translated to supplement terms, this means that supplements no longer require ingredients that work. They require super potent, premium, enhanced ingredients that work — i.e., strictly the bio-active bits and nothing else. Cellucor SuperHD Razor does a fine enough job of hitting those super high-def notes with its premium, patented extracts.
But are these particular super extracts enough to get the job done on fat burning? Or are we missing the full picture here? Let’s read the SuperHD Razor review to get a better look on this fat burner — in high Best5 resolution, baby.

About SuperHD Razor
Cellucor’s back at it again with SuperHD Razor, a premium CLA + CQ fat burner designed for enhanced fat-to-muscle metabolism. But the party doesn’t stop there! SuperHD Razor also has LCLT and BioPerine …and, well. That’s it. Formula notes:
- Tonalin® CLA: Conjugated linoleic acid is a fatty acid believed to improve lean muscle mass gains. And SuperHD Razor has it in Tonalin® brand form.
- Synetrim® CQ: Cissus quadrangularis extract in premium Synetrim® form, a popular herb for bone and joint health, potentially blocking fat and carb uptake as well.
- SuperHD Razor Blend: With exception to this formula’s vitamin (B1), SuperHD Razor hides all of its ingredients beneath a dosage-masking proprietary blend.

SuperHD Razor combines clinically tested Tonalin® CLA and Synetrim® CQ for a stimulant-free approach to fat loss.
Like a razor, SuperHD Razor intends to slim your fat storage one slice, or fat cell, at a time by increasing fat metabolism and decreasing fat storage. However, intention doesn’t equal execution, so let’s see if SuperHD Razor’s ingredients can get the job done, starting with:
- Thiamine – B vitamins in general are great for your health. Thiamine (vitamin B1) in particular doesn’t seem to possess any significant fat burning benefits. Although, a low-cal diet may contribute to thiamine deficiency.
Not a bad addition for the calorie cutting users. Yet, the real action in this formula is in SuperHD Razor’s proprietary blend.
SuperHD Razor Review: Ingredients
In typical Cellucor fashion, SuperHD Razor hides its ingredients beneath a proprietary blend, known here as the SuperHD Razor Blend. This means we won’t know the exact dosage for each ingredient. However, we’ll do our best to review this stack of ingredients as a whole by dismantling it part-by-part. Fortunately, there are only four parts to this blend.
SuperHD Razor™ Blend
CLA (as Tonalin®) – Believed to promote lean muscle growth and a more shredded body composition, CLA is a hugely popular bodybuilder fat burner. SuperHD Razor goes with the premium Tonalin branded CLA.
Cissus Quadrangularis (as Synetrim®) – Synetrim CQ seems to help prevent the absorption of dietary fat, carbs, and starchy sugars, effectively decreasing overall fat build-up in the body. For athletes, Cissus quadrangularis traditionally serves joint protective purposes.
L-Carnitine L-Tartrate (LCLT) – Similar to CLA, LCLT is a hot item among bodybuilding circles for its potential fat-to-muscle metabolic benefits. Carnitine, in general, is believed to increase energy production by helping transport fatty acids to mitochondria for enhanced thermogenesis.Black Pepper Extract (as BioPerine®) – Every supplement should carry black pepper extract for its benefits on nutrient absorption. In this tiny dose, BioPerine may significantly increase the overall bio-availability of SuperHD Razor.
Formula Analysis
On the “high-def” scale mentioned in this review’s intro, SuperHD Razor passes with its premium ingredient brands: Tonalin®, Synetrim®, and BioPerine®.
Altogether, these ingredients stack up to a pretty decent CLA + LCLT supplement, an increasingly popular fat burner combo used by bodybuilder’s for its purported benefits on fat-to-muscle metabolic enhancement. Furthermore, the Synetrim Cissus quadrangularis extract may benefit bodybuilder health by support a skeletal system stressed by all that extra muscle mass.
However…
Cellucor almost drops the ball due to a couple missteps with this formula:
- Proprietary – hiding the ingredient dosages is a Cellucor bad habit.
- Junky Caps – Cellucor also likes to fill and coat its capsules with nasty additives.
While these aren’t quite deal-breakers, they’re an annoying, frequent trend among Cellucor products that we’d like to see disappear in 2018. Having said that, SuperHD Razor makes for a decent CLA + LCLT stack, potentially assisting with joint health as well. A nice enough fat burner supplement to stack with your other bodybuilder supplements. But not to solely rely on for all of your fat burner needs.
SuperHD Razor Benefits
Cellucor only makes a couple health claims with SuperHD Razor, including:
- Maintain lean muscle
- Reduce body fat
To get the full SuperHD picture (heh heh), you’ll need to stack SuperHD Razor with SuperHD Fire (“a two-stage daily weight loss formula”) and SuperHD Water, which “has been formulated to help you achieve your leanest physique by assisting you [sic] body’s ability to reduce the temporary accumulation of excess water…”
On its own, SuperHD Razor may assist with your fat-to-muscle ratio. However, due to the proprietary blend, it’s hard to tell how effective SuperHD Razor is at burning fat.
Who Takes It?
Mass Building Fat Burners. Sort of an oxymoron, but SuperHD Razor seems best for the muscle mass gaining athletes who are simultaneously trying to slim down on those lipid pounds. Essentially, the cutting bodybuilder may enjoy this non-stimulant supplement.
Any Side Effects?
Thanks to SuperHD Razor’s stimulant free design, this is a safe CLA supplement. While the customer reviews are somewhat mixed on this product, none of the reviews we’ve read made any mention of side effects. Frankly, we’re not expecting any with this rather mild formula.
SuperHD Razor Review Summary
Pros
- Premium Extracts. Cellucor invests in the fiery brands for this bad boi.
- CLA + LCLT. An increasingly popular stack for its lean muscle benefits.
- BioPerine. Always a smart move to add a little black pepper extract.
Cons
- Proprietary. We can’t be 100% sure that every ingredient works in this blend.
- Crap Caps. Unnecessary FD&C colorants and additives taint these softgels.
- Expensive. $59.99 for these ingredients? They’re not bad, but you can find better fat burners than these at a lower price.
Pricing and Where to Buy
- 1 Bottle (4 weeks; 112 softgels): $59.99
- Available online and in retail stores
You can buy SuperHD Razor through various retailers, including GNC, Bodybuilding.com, and Amazon.
Final Word on SuperHD Razor
SuperHD Razor stacks impressively high quality, “high-def” fat burner extracts in this bodybuilder focused weight loss supplement. However, it encases these ingredients in an unclear, “low-def” proprietary blend, obscuring the quantity of each ingredient. Is this a complete deal-breaker for SuperHD Razor? No. But it prevents us from realizing what exactly sets this supplement apart from bigger, better fat burners. From this standpoint, SuperHD Razor is a mid-range product with mid-range fat burns.
