QuadraLean vs. Hydroxycut SX Black Onyx are two supplements with the same agenda when it comes to burning fat but that’s where the similarities end.
QuadraLean is a simple fat-burning stack composed of four main ingredients. This gives us an impression of a simple and focused attack on fat but can it be too simple?
HydroxyCut SX-7 Black Onyx on the other hand makes use of known ingredients in the fat burning industry but with an herbal twist. Herbs are often wildcards and wildcards aren’t always good… but SX-7 Black Onyx makes some sexy choices that vault it onto our top Fat-Burner Supplements leaderboard.
Both fat burners look hot to the touch but which supplement makes you shred more fat per serving? Which fat burner gives the most bang for your buck? QuadraLean’s 4-way fat blaster or HydroxyCut’s herbal fat furnace?

Round 1: Formulas
Both QuadraLean and HydroxyCut SX-7 Black Onyx seem to have potent formulas but they share no one similar ingredient unlike most supplement rivalries we’re accustomed to. Let’s find out which one of them picked the better ingredients.
QuadraLean is simple and focused but not typical.
QuadraLean starts out with Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) as Clarinol. While CLA doesn’t sound like your typical fat burner, it’s actually known to activate thermogenesis, suppress appetite, and ramps up your metabolism.
Garcinia Cambogia is our #3 Fat Burner and is popularly used to regulate appetite, block carb conversion, and reuse fat for energy. It’s an excellent ingredient specially when paired with Raspberry Ketones which is known to promote fat breakdown and give your metabolism a good revving.
The fourth ingredient is a blend made up of three forms of carnitine: Acetyl-L-Carnitine (ALCAR), Propionyl-L-Carnitine, and Carnitine Tartrate. These three amino acids force fat inside our cells to be used as cell energy. QuadraLean used three forms to prolong the overall fat burning effect.
You can say QuadraLean’s concept is focused around appetite control and burning stored fat. Sound and logical. Now let’s see what HydroxyCut has in store for us.
HydroxyCut SX-7 Black Onyx burns fat without burning a hole through your stomach.
HydroxyCut SX-7 Black Onyx’s formula resembles your typical fat burner but with a milder take but it’s not weak. Most fat burners are so potent they cause harmful side effects but HydroxyCut seems to mitigate those side effects without sacrificing fat burning potency.
The main drivers are standardized Green Coffee Bean Extract and Caffeine, two of our best fat burners. Coleus is known to boost cAMP and promote breakdown of fat. Yohimbe contains Yohimbine capable of enhancing lipolysis and specifically going after belly fat. Theanine helps reduce the side effects brought on by Caffeine.
Salvia and Satsuma are both standardized herbs. Salvia, specifically Salvianolic Acid, is known to increase ATP production, a process fueled by fat stores. Satsuma helps reveal the six-pack under your belly.
Two fat burners with different takes on how to burn fat but one of them surpasses the other. That one is HydroxyCut SX Black Onyx for having a more direct fat burning sensation. QuadraLean’s formula is good but it’s not as hot as HydroxyCut’s.
Round 1… HydroxyCut SX-7Black Onyx Wins.
Round 2: Dosages
Both supplements didn’t mask their dosages with prop blends so kudos to the two of them for being classy.
Because of this, we are able to fully assess the full potential of these two fat burners and see whether they know at what dosage do their ingredients start working.
Let’s start with QuadraLean, the 4-way fat blaster. The dosages for Garcinia and Raspberry Ketones were addressed well but we’re not so happy with their decision to cut us short on CLA. Sure, they use a premium form called Clarinol but even that company recommends at least 1.7 g. As much as we like to say 500 mg is big enough, it might just be the minimal dosage.
It’s also the same with their Carnitine blend. A blend with three dose-hungry ingredients requires lots of space and 500 mg wouldn’t normally cut it but looking at the blend in the context of being part of a formula, we’ll give them a pass for synergy.
HydroxyCut has more ingredients so it looks like it would be largely underdosed but upon closer inspection you’ll see it gave the bulk of the weight to ingredients that matter.
Green Coffee Bean extract has the largest bite with Caffeine getting a pretty decent portion of the cookie as well. Theanine looks weak but may be just enough to reduce side effects. Yohimbe is also dosed just enough to keep you from having a heart attack.
As happy as we are with the ingredients above, HydroxyCut came up short on Coleus, Satsuma, and Salvia because you can only do so much with less than 500 mg of capsule space.
You can solve HydroxyCut’s issue by doubling the dosage since it’s just a one-cap supplement but this battle is all about how far one serving can take you and QuadraLean looks like it’s ready to take you farther than what its opponent proposes.
Round 2… QuadraLean Wins.
Round 3: Ingredient Quality
This round is all about aesthetics and one of them will be judged according to their beauty on the outside.
QuadraLean’s one and only premium ingredient is Clarinol. Even if we consider Garcinia, we’re looking for premium forms and it’s clearly not standardized.
As if by contast, HydroxyCut issued four standardized ingredients out of seven and those are: Green Coffee Bean Extract, Salvia, Yohimbe, and Satsuma.
Even if QuadraLean was the runaway winner in the numbers game, it was HydroxyCut winning with “looks” this time.
Round 3… HydroxyCut SX-7 Wins.
Round 4: Price
QuadraLean | VS. | Hydroxycut SX-7 Black Onyx
1 Bottle (30-servings) | $34.99 | 1 Bottle (80-day supply) | $69.99
Price Per Capsule | $0.23 | Price Per Capsule | $0.88
Price Per Serving | $0.69 | Price Per Serving | $0.88 |
Round 4… QuadraLean Wins.
Round 5: JUDGEMENT
It’s a pretty close fight with both fat burners getting two points each. Even our reviews tell the same story:
- We’re talking 4.1 (QuadraLean) vs. 4.1 (HydroxyCut SX-7 Black Onyx) out of 5 stars.
Definitely a battle between two equally decent fat burners.
A tight battle and no one seems to be backing down so that makes the final decision be left up to you.
Ask yourself: What do I want in a fat burner? Is Caffeine yay or nay? Do I want something to last longer than a month or do I like gobbling capsules?
For us we have to look at the bigger picture and the bigger picture here is the impact of the formula on fat and in that context, HydroxyCut SX-7 Black Onyx takes the cake and all the icing on top. Toss in the pretty candles too.
QuadraLean’s formula design is decent but it’s not hot enough for most of us who want to feel the burn. It did put up quite a fight against our #5 Best Fat Burner Supplement so QuadraLean is definitely up there with the second best choices so kudos to it too.
In the QuadraLean vs. HydrocyCut SX-7 Black Onyx fight, the winner by a SPLIT Decision is…
