In your hand, you’re holding two tens.
The deal shows a three.
Do you: A) Hold?, or B) Hit? That’s right, dogg: You hit that sum’bitch.
What if the dealer scores a 21 and beats your mere 20?? You can’t allow that. The defeat would be devastating, especially considering how great the odds were in your favor with those tens.
Super HD chooses “Hit” as well with its formula, taking the risk with its fat burning supplement by stacking it further with fish peptides and nootropics. If effective, the reward pays out with a mind-blowing, fat-busting supplement. (Odds are it won’t work at all but ehhh come on. Relax.)
LeanMode sticks with its tens, keeping it simple with its well-stacked, well-researched fat burning complex, avoiding the unnecessary risk of stimulants or hybrid, proprietary blends.
Let’s see who wins the pot:

Round 1: Formulas
LeanMode is on our 2017 Best 5 Fat Burner Supplements list. Super HD is not.
But miracles do happen.
Let’s start with the Best 5 favorite, give Super HD a chance to prepare:
LeanMode: Five Modes of Fat Burning
Evlution LeanMode accomplishes a rare feat in the fat burning game: it loads well-researched fat burners and weight loss ingredients without the aid of stimulants. Not even that one stimulant everyone seems to be so fond of: caffeine.
Instead, LeanMode tackles fat with a smart, well-designed plan of attack, targeting five complementary bio-pathways:
- Thermogenesis
- Energy Metabolism
- Appetite Regulation
- Antioxidant Activity
- Body Composition
The idea: Reliable, stimulant-free fat-burning that won’t have you bouncing off the walls or scratching your neck for the next hit.
Few supplements can pull off the simplicity angle on formulation. LeanMode does simple well, stacking only five effective ingredients — Garcinia Cambogia Extract, Green Coffee Bean Extract, Conjugated Linoleic Acid, Acetyl-L-Carnitine, and Green Tea Extract — the latter of which sits at the number one spot on our BIG List of Fat Burners.
And if you’re worried about the “Other Ingredients,” don’t: They’re also simple and clean.
Super HD: Fishy Fat Burning Strategy
Whereas Evlution LeanMode tackles fat with a clear-cut, well-planned strategy of attack, Cellucor Super HD operates on a long-shot and a dream: Slimpro® Protein Hydrolysates of Blue Whiting.
If you’re asking yourself what the hell is Slimpro® Protein Hydrolysates of Blue Whiting, then fear not: We didn’t know what Slimpro® Protein Hydrolysates of Blue Whiting were either before writing our Super HD review, given that seemingly no other fat burner supplement uses this ingredient.
What we’ve figured out: Slimpro® is a branded ingredient composed of fish peptides fortified with branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) nutrition, with the supposed intention of boosting digestive hormones that signal feelings of satiety. In other words, Slimpro improves appetite control.
Whether or not it actually works remains to be seen.
But there are ingredients that do work in this formula, most notably the thermogenic green tea extract — again, a Best5 favorite fat burner — as well as the nootropics contained in the SuperHD Sensory Impact Blend: N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine, Rhodiola rosea, and Huperzine A. However, there are problems with this blend, the primary problem we’ll address in Round 2, and the second problem pertaining to a few of its ingredient choices: Amla fruit, Evodia, and Rauvolfia, which …just shouldn’t be in this formula.
Super HD makes a noble attempt at hybridizing cognition enhancement with fat burning but should have taken the more simple, straightforward approach demonstrated by LeanMode’s fire formula. LeanMode’s formula is simply better designed for better bodybuilding and ripped results.
Round 1… LeanMode Wins.
Round 2: Dosages
LeanMode wins this round right out of Round 2 gates. Or rather Super HD loses the round right out of the gates, due to its preference for a proprietary blend. More accurately, two proprietary blends:
- ThermoSculpting Blend – 250 mg for three ingredients. LeanMode supplies 250 mg for Green Tea Extract alone, whereas Super HD’s GTE shares the dosage with two other hidden ingredients.
- Sensory Impact Blend – 250 mg for eight ingredients in this blend, which, for obvious reasons, does not work, especially for these dosage demanding herbs and natural compounds.
Interestingly, Super HD does provide a sizable 160 mg caffeine, which roughly equates to a little under two cups of coffee. So, if there’s one thing to boost your confidence in Super HD, it’s its stimulatory health benefits.
LeanMode, on the other hand, reveals all of its dosages, and, thanks to its simple design, all dosages look solid and hefty and, most importantly, non-proprietary.
Round 2… LeanMode Wins.
Round 3: Ingredient Quality
Cellucor’s Super HD makes a commendable effort here with its good quality, patented ingredient brands: Slimpro® and Capsimax®, as well as the formula’s use of the nootropic heavy-hitter N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine over the less bio-active L-Tyrosine. This seems to be a Cellucor tradition: skimping on the dosages while going the extra mile for patented ingredient extracts and compounds.
However, selling under-dosed, high quality extracts seems to unnecessarily increase Cellucor’s products’ prices, without rewarding the customers with enhanced bio effects.
LeanMode does not provide any ingredient brands, but it does stick with standardized, bio-active extracts, each transparently displaying their bio-active contents — e.g., 60% HCA for Garcinia Cambogia, 60% EGCG for Green Tea Extract.
What’s more, Super HD pumps its caps full of junky additives and fillers. LeanMode keeps its capsules relatively clean.
Round 3… LeanMode Wins.
Round 4: Price
LeanMode | VS. | Super HD | ||
1 Bottle (50-day supply) | $19.99 | 1 Bottle (60-day supply) | $69.99
Price Per Capsule | $0.13 | Price Per Capsule | $0.58
Price Per Serving | $0.13 | Price Per Serving | $0.58 |
Both products impress in Round 4 with their affordable prices. Whichever supplement you buy, you’re getting over 30 days worth of servings, at less than a dollar per serving. However, LeanMode really takes its name to heart with its super lean price, providing nearly two months’ worth of servings at less than a third of Super HD’s price.
Round 4… LeanMode Wins.
Round 5: JUDGEMENT
Round 1: LeanMode.
Round 2: LeanMode.
Round 3 and 4: LeanMode and LeanMode.
And, now, the final round, Round 5: the final judgment round… No shock or surprises here: LeanMode takes the big win over Super HD — an easy call, and one we anticipated after already giving these products such a wide gap in their ratings, recorded in their individual reviews.
Really, the Rounds 2 – 4 were more of a formality than anything, given how much of an ass-kicking Super HD took at the feet of a clearly far superior supplement in Round 1. Although, if you had any hesitation still throughout the review, the Round 4 price disparity should have easily cleared that up: LeanMode is a better formula with better dosages and better quality, sold at a better price than Super HD.
There is no comparison.
