The Greaser versus The Soc.
Yoked Trailer Scruff versus Jacked Bow-tied Suburbanites.
That’s the appearance of this True GRIT vs. Alpha JYM fight–except we’re stripping these fighters to their primal core for pure fist-to-fist masculinity. Because we have a theory: Regardless of your socioeconomic stat, being a man simply means being a man. And you can get your ass kicked just as well as the next guy, whether he’s wearing a potato sack or Lululemon.
The dirty potato versus the shiny lemon.
Let’s get to it.

Round 1: Formulas
Here are two T-boosting formulas that work very similarly—except whereas one is more refined, the other simply has more.
True GRIT digs deep for your inner “gritness.”
Dude. Hell YA we want “gritness”—whatever that could be.
And True GRIT claims to get it with its 9 ingredient-formula that can be split up into the following bio-actions:
- Increasing free T levels. Fenugreek, Ashwagandha, Shilajit, Boron.
- Increasing total T levels. Zinc.
- Reducing estrogen levels. Diindolylmethane, Bladderwrack.
- Increasing libido. Chlorophytum, Yacon.
And for the most part these ingredients are prettay, prettay good.
At least of them are on our Top 5 BIG LIST of T-Boosters: Zinc & Boron.
And the other three T-boosters (Fenugreek, Ashwagandha, Shilajit) definitely work. Meanwhile, the anti-estrogen compounds are questionable, but nearly all anti-estrogen compounds are questionable these days.
On the whole, we’re simply impressed by this formula for notching in a few BIG dawg boosters over a well-rounded array of man-enhancing herbs.
Alpha JYM supplies the “Five Stage Testosterone Boost.”
What’s the Five Stage Testosterone Boost?
Well, let us tell ya, impatient little fella:
- First, Alpha JYM encourages your body to produce more T.
- Next, estrogen levels are blunted.
- Antioxidant support helps T-producing function of the testicles.
- Excretion of T is reduced to maintain higher blood T levels.
- Inhibits T-binding proteins (ex. SHBG) for optimized T action.
Sounds like a plan, maaaan.
What’s cool about this is Alpha JYM intends to accomplish these 5 points with only 6 ingredients.
What’s not cool about it: One ingredient is a questionable woman-enhancer (Damiana) and none of the ingredients top our BIG LIST. However, aside from that, most of the T-boosting in this formula mirrors that of True GRIT—with regards to Fenugreek & Ashwagandha.
Eurycoma longifolia also carries a lot of T-boosting weight with a potent side of sex-enhancement, but overall we’re just seeing a little less boosting here than with True GRIT.
Round 1… True GRIT Test Booster Wins.
Round 2: Dosages
But what about the mama-flippin’ dosages, yo?!
Well, first of all: Consider that True GRIT’s serving fits into 2 tablets, while Alpha JYM’s serving fits into 3 capsules (with even less ingredients). Immediately, Alpha JYM allows itself more breathing room than True GRIT.
And this is evidenced by Fenugreek & Ashwagandha:
- Alpha JYM has 500 mg. True GRIT has 300 mg.
- Alpha JYM has 500 mg. True GRIT has 125 mg.
The non-overlapping ingredients look solid on both sides, but Alpha JYM’s unique ingredients look slightly better.
Our homie JYMbo takes this round.
Round 2… Alpha JYM Wins.
Round 3: Ingredient Quality
We are struggling to find anything wrong on both ends in this round.
Everything looks good.
The standardized Fenugreek extracts. The potent Ashwagandhas. The 100:1 Eurycoma. That citrate-y Boron Citrate.
If there is room for improvement, then it’s very, very small and sounds like nit-picking (Zinc should be Zinc Citrate; Damiana could use extraction) when we should be counting our lucky stars that we have such bomb-ass, athletic-enhancing formulas.
Both True GRIT & Alpha JYM double down on their ingredient qualities and, thus, both True GRIT & Alpha JYM take this round.
Round 3… Tie.
Round 4: Price
True GRIT Test Booster | VS. | Alpha JYM
1 Bottle (30-day supply) | $29.99 | 1 Bottle (30-day supply) | $29.99
Price Per Capsule | $0.25 | Price Per Capsule | $0.17
Price Per Serving | $0.50 | Price Per Serving | $0.50 |
Round 4… Tie.
Round 5: JUDGEMENT
Two similar in action, equally priced, T-boosting formulas and we’re supposed to pick a winner?
They both winners!
If you’re having trouble picking one, we get it—as far as this match-up is concerned, these T-boosters are tied. Aside from the options given in this Versus article written here, there are more potent T-boosters on the market, including our list of 2017’s BEST of all. However, True GRIT & Alpha JYM deserve special praise for crafting simple male-healthy products that could be used & benefited from by younger men looking to get your mojo jojo flowing in the streets, sheets, & gyms.
Our advice: Flip a coin and get it over with. You can’t go wrong with either supplement.
But, because we’re judges and we have a job to do, we have to pick a winner here. For that, we’re resorting to the original ratings of each product—and one has a slight sliver of a higher rating over the other.
