Some sex-drive formulas boost libido by raising T.
Some testosterone formulas boost sex-drive to create the illusion of raising T.
Testrol falls somewhere in between.
It takes the “scenic” route to sex & muscles first, with testosterone #2. Testrol juggles multiple manly ingredients to get there, including two zany exotics.
So with 15 ingredients, Testrol must do something good, right? Let’s find out.

Testrol juggles A LOT of all-natural manly ingredients.
Testrol is skilled, but even the best juggler has trouble keeping 15 balls in the air.
If Testrol can just keep half those balls in the air, it will still be good. Check it:
Magnesium, Zinc, Selenium
Only one ingredient (Vitamin B6) away from the proven ZMA trio, this trio of manly minerals looks good: Magnesium and Zinc are great for testosterone, especially Zinc: Our #2 Best5 T-Booster
Selenium is an interesting choice; not a T-booster, but manly as hell, especially for mature men: It boosts virility (your SPERM, bro) and supports prostate health.
The T-Boosters
Minus the minerals, Testrol has 12 ingredients, 3 of which work as T-boosters. While this initially sounds awesome, it becomes a noticeable issue in the dosage department—but we’ll tackle that puppy in the “Formula Analysis” section.
Testrol’s three T-boosters include:
- Mucuna Pruriens. Testrol doesn’t go out of its way to highlight this ingredient, but we will for them: It’s awesome, ranking at #3 on our Best5 list of T-Boosters. It simultaneously boosts T via LH stimulation & inhibits female prolactin—plus this 10% L-DOPA extract is looking extra dope.
- Fenugreek. We’re a little surprised Testrol doesn’t put more effort into its Fenugreek considering how many T-boosting products now use it. Admittedly, we find Fenugreek a little… overrated—at least as a T-booster.
- Eurycoma Longifolia. Similar to Fenugreek, Eurycoma works both as a T-booster & sex-enhancer (but mainly as a sex-enhancer). Its reputation as an aphrodisiac is grounded in both legend & science, the latter of which finds Eurycoma boosting T by 37% in certain cases.
BONUS: Tribulus Terrestris & Epimedium are the ingredients referenced by Testrol under its T-boosting claims… they’re not the best T-boosters, but they’re still great for manly health.
The Sex-Enhancers
With Tribulus & Avena Sativa, Testrol already qualifies as a sex-enhancer. If effective, the ingredients in the previous section can be viewed as sex-enhancers, too, considering libido follows as one of the primary effects of increased T.
Ginkgo biloba is typically is a nootropic, but we think Testrol included it for its ability to boost circulation to the extremities… including your MANHOOD. That’s right: Ginkgo is an erection-strengthener
Cnidium Monnieri & Xanthroparmelia Seabrosa are two exotic Asian herbs that seem to fall in the “Herbal Viagra” category. They are a roll of the dice, bro, but you never know… maybe spiking the formula with these exotics culminates in massive boners.
Formula Analysis
Many users & reviewers are excited by this formula, and with good reason:
Testrol has a lot of solid, well-researched, natural, male-enhancing ingredients.
Yet, when it comes down to it: Trying to fit 15 ingredients into 2,000 mg just doesn’t work for ALL of them. But Testrol makes up for it with some excellent test-and-manly compounds, a few of which are in advanced forms.
The Mucuna Pruriens & Tribulus are both great ingredient choices, and both are standardized to potent levels, which is a sign of quality.
Where Testrol uses cheaper forms — such as its Zinc Sulfate and Magnesium Oxide — it gives you big dosages to compensate. That Magnesium is especially fat at 450 mg, but it’s such a great multi-tasker for testosterone and more that we’ll take it.
Other Testrol herbs, especially those intended as sex-enhancers, are in decent dosages — making sexual performance a focus of the formula.
And then, you got those balls that the juggler drops to the ground.
The saw palmetto and L-Arginine are dosed wayyyyyyy low, bro. Making us think, what are they thinking?
Testerol seems aware of this — it recommends an extra tablet a day with its “2-3 tablets everyday” directive, which could definitely help with its ingredient dosages that are on the low side.
BUT, if you take more, be aware that too much Zinc — over 100 mg — has been tied to prostate cancer and other risks… and Testrol already starts with a nice 30 mg dosage. Double up at your own risk, bro, but don’t take more than that.
The formula does have a couple of wildcards: Those crazy Chinese “herbal Viagras” are sexy as hell, but might as well be question marks. GAT keeps the dosage on them low, which is smart formulation given potential risks with oddball herbs for male performance.
Overall, if an energized sex life & decent anabolic metabolism are your main goals, then Testrol has you covered. Mild T-boosts are there too, just riding in the back seat.
Testrol Benefits
Testrol sells itself as an “Anabolic & Potency Activator” with an emphasis on muscle growth & sexual performance (although it can be argued that ALL T-boosters should entail “muscle growth & sexual performance”).
While Tribulus & Avena Sativa don’t do much for T, they do promote muscle-building metabolism & sexy-time physiological behavior.
Additionally, Avena Sativa has Alpha brainwave promoting effects for better attention, concentration, & creativity… and Ginkgo, a lesser-known boner booster, is a well-known nootropic.
Therefore, the potential benefits here are:
- Enhanced muscle growth
- Increased sexual performance
- Healthier T:Estrogen ratio
- Slight boost on cognition
Who Takes It?
Cycling Bodybuilders. Not “cycling” as in riding a bike (although good for you if you do), but “anabolic cycling,” involving the on-again-off-again process of supplementing T-boosters/prohormones for massive, ongoing muscle gains. Testrol insists on containing the “Ultimate Blend to Improve Size and Strength,” which fits right in among the bodybuilding community.
Any Side Effects?
None reported. And this comes back to the positive of Testrol using all-natural ingredients and the potential negative of Testrol not working (at least in terms of “testosterone”). It definitely accomplishes the libido claims, but we see no reason for you to fear any serious hormonal shifts after supplementing this product.
Staying on the safe side: The directions recommend an 8 week cycle followed by 2 weeks off, and so long as you stick to that then you shouldn’t experience any side effects. And remember to watch that Zinc intake if you go off-label.

Cons
- Some Low Dosages. The biggest drawback on this formula; 2 are useless

Final Word on Testrol
GAT is a quality company, so we give Testrol some slack. A few ingredients are duds, whether by dosage or benefits. And testosterone isn’t the main focus. But overall, Testrol is a solid manly health formula, especially for sex drive, erectile performance & prostate health…. the T and nootropic benefits are a bonus. We think of Testrol as a “What If…” formula, because dropping a few ingredients and reformulating slightly would make it awesome. As it stands, Testrol will settle for very good.
