Naming a T-booster is stressful.
After all, the title of your product can make or break its success.
So, how long do you think it took for Beast Sports Nutrition to decide between Super Test and Super Duper Test? Twenty, maybe thirty seconds?
Alright, we’re being dickheads. We realize that.
If it’s any consolation, we’d rather see a manufacturer spend all of its creative energy on formulas rather than names. Judging by their accolades, Beast Sports Nutrition is aight with us.
But what of Super Test’s hardy 4-capsule, 5-blend formula? Let’s CHECK IT:

About Super Test
Nominated for BodyBuilding.com’s “2014 Best Packaging of the Year” award, Beast Sports Nutrition’s Super Test has been advertising “Maximized Mass & Strength” for 2, nearing on 3, years now. The best part: It not only looks cool, but it works. Formula notes:
- 5-in-1 Formula: Super Test shoots for anabolic T-boosts with a shotgun spread, hitting many peripheral male-enhancing targets.
- Cyanotis Vaga Extract: Sounds like an STD, but technically a steroid. This “legal” PED has been making rounds in many manly supplements… Despite its lack of clinical research.
- BEAST Sports Nutrition: For those who are aware of these manufacturers, this is all we need to say. They’re the real deal when it comes to supplement manufacturing.

T-boosting is only ONE of the FIVE advantages of this T-booster.
Most formulas sporting 25+ ingredients look exciting on paper, but fail in execution—typically due to low dosages & poor ingredient quality.
Beast Sports Nutrition remedies these potential issues with their spacious 4 capsule serving design and high-quality ingredients. In other words, the BEAST is showing off some of the slick formula moves that you will find in the Greatest T-Boosters in the Universe.
Even Super Test’s vitamin & minerals are on point:
- Vitamin B6. The best V.B. for T, B6 is a proven mood-enhancing T-booster—although we’d prefer the high potency P-5-P form over plain pyridoxine HCl.
- In male athletes, Magnesium makes for a solid performance sustaining mineral—showing boosts in both free & total T. Plus Super Test’s Magnesium looks the best at this highly active Citrate form.
- Our #2 T-booster on our BIG LIST of T-Boosters, Zinc is absolutely essential for peak T production. Acting directly on T status, Zinc serves as a building block for testosterone and we’re loving this high quality Zinc Citrate form.
And this only marks the beginning of Super Test’s formula. Let’s see how the blends stack up:
Anabolic Testosterone Support Complex, 1000 mg
This blend comprises the meat of Super Test’s formula, not only in terms of dosaging (1000 mg X 2 daily), but in regards to intention: Boosting T & anabolic muscle/strength gains.
The leading “T-booster” in this blend is Puncture Vine (better known as Terrestris Tribulus, occasionally referred to as Devil’s Weed. And we’re placing “T-booster” in quotes here for a reason: It’s not the best for boosting T.
Not to say that it’s not a good ingredient choice: Terrestris is an awesome sex-enhancer and solid for supporting anabolic hormonal & muscular metabolism levels—i.e. terrestris helps build muscle while safeguarding T levels.
Coolio, yo.
But does every “T-booster” here deserve ironic quotation marks? No:
- Ashwagandha + Rhodiola. Ranking as a “T-Boosters that Works” in Best5 terms and as the symbolic manifestation of “horsepower” in ancient Ayurvedic medicine, Ashwagandha is a powerful adaptogenic herb that reduces cortisol while increasing T. Rhodiola is another adaptogen herb with T-boosting properties.
- Fenugreek. The 3 primary functions of Fenugreek: 1) Boost free T levels, 2) Enhance muscle recovery, 3) Enhance “sexy time” activity. Additionally, Fenugreek works as a DHT-reducer, which some formulators claim as a benefit (Beast Sports Nutrition does. We don’t).
- Tongkat Ali. Also known as Malaysian Ginseng, Tongkat Ali’s legendary reputation as an herbal aphrodisiac warranted the clinical study of its effects on male hormones—one notable study reporting T-boosts upwards of 37%.
The remaining ingredients qualify either as sex-enhancers or anabolic promoters (or both), but we need to deliver special caution on the second to last ingredient in this blend: Chaste Tree Extract.
We’re confused by its placement here considering its well-researched role as an anti-androgen (i.e. T-reducer) among women with high T-levels. It’s a girly herb, bro.
Perhaps it serves a “Big Picture” function in this formula, but we’ve found nothing in the research or Super Test’s marketing to explain what that might be.
Nitric Oxide Support Complex, 500 mg
Why place N.O. boosters in a T-booster? Two reasons:
- Improved circulation enhances muscle building & sexual health.
- Increased nutrient delivery aids exercise performance & recovery.
L-Arginine is a premier N.O. booster that we’re happy to see in this formula, giving Super Test a slight P.W.O. edge. The Arginine derivatives filling the rest of this blend offer a full-dimensional, compounded drive of nitric oxide boosts that might not be achieved through simple, straight L-Arginine supplementation.
Estrogen Control Factors, 200 mg
“Estrogen controls” demonstrate a sense of thoughtfulness on the manufacturing side of T-boosters. T-boosters increase testosterone. Increased testosterone increases estrogen. Increased estrogen diminishes the benefits of testosterone.
Thus, estrogen needs controls when T is elevated.
These three ingredients—Japanese Knotweed, DIM, Calcium-D-Glucarate—aren’t bad “estrogen control factors”—with exception to DIM, which is used overwhelmingly for post-menopausal women’s health and might actually decrease testosterone.
Japanese Knotweed contains Resveratrol, a healthy, popular, antioxidant, anti-estrogen compound (that, admittedly, lacks adequate research to support its anti-estrogen effects for males). Calcium-D-Glucarate, like Resveratrol, possessed a wide range of health benefits, particularly in regards to releasing toxins from the body. One of its potential effects includes estrogen inhibition.
Liver & Kidney Detoxification Support, 190 mg
Calcium-D-Glucarate easily qualifies for this blend, but its detoxification benefits are compounded by the two ingredients here: Milk Thistle & Cranberry Extract—the former being a popular liver-protector in pro-hormone substances and the latter used to acidify urine for kidney protection.
This blend gives Super Test a major health advantage over most T-boosters.
Cyanotis Vaga Extract, 184 mg
This ecdysteroid hormone is showing up in more & more supplements that aim to enhance physical performance, even though no research on its in vivo mammalian effects exists. Most research remains pre-clinical and actually calls into question the validity of such ecdysteroids—which are believed to stimulate muscle growth & increase ATP levels (in vitamin-D deficient rats).
Whether this comes at a cost to other health measures is currently unknown.
DHT Control Factors, 150 mg
We briefly mentioned the confusion over whether or not blocking DHT is even a good thing. One of the ingredients here (Pygeum Africanum Extract) is a potent DHT blockers used primarily to treat hair loss—one of the believed side effects of excess DHT. Stinging Nettle manages decent DHT reduction by inhibiting the conversion of T to DHT.
T-boosters are only concerned with blocking DHT because it equals out to more T levels. Unfortunately, DHT is an even manlier hormone than T, so approach this concept of DHT reduction with caution, esé.
Formula Analysis
Feels like we already went into a long analysis on this formula, because this formula is so frickin’ loooong. Yet, while 25 ingredients can be tough to juggle, Super Test seems to handle it well, packing a hefty T-boosting punch with a number of male-healthy benefits on the side.
The ZMA combo (Zinc, Magnesium, & B6) is perhaps the best option of introductory vitamins & minerals for any T-boosting formula, particularly professional grade T-boosters intent on enhancing athleticism.
What’s more, Super Test takes the OG ZMA formula and actually improves it with better Magnesium & Zinc than what the original ZMA trio offered.
From there we have 5 blends intent on:
- Anabolic T-Support
- O. Boosting
- Estrogen Control
- Liver/Kidney Protection
- DHT Reduction
In terms of execution, Super Test manages every blend very well—even though we always have to question the efficacy of ingredients involved in dosage-hiding proprietary blends.
Aside from ZMA, the only revealed dosage is Cyanotis Vaga Extract, which acts as a sort of “legal steroid” in this formula. Despite its lack of clinical support, its addition to these blends seems to guarantee anabolic muscle gains—yet, gives further justification for the liver/kidney protectors and the need to “cycle on/off” this formula.
While Super Test lacks the clinical weight of DAA-driven formulas designed for mature men (as opposed to young athletes), its adequately-dosed range of well-chosen ingredients & high quality forms leave no questions as to how Beast Sports Nutrition earned BodyBuilding.com’s “2012 Breakout Brand of the Year.”
Four years later and they’re clearly still on top of their game.
Super Test Benefits
According to Beast Sports Nutrition, Super Test may help support:
- Natural T Production
- Healthy Libido
- Healthy Liver & Kidneys
- Mass & Strength Gains
Shit, does it do your taxes, too??
At this point we wouldn’t be surprised. Super Test has many benefits outside of simply boosting testosterone. It’s such a well-designed formula with so many well-considered male-friendly advantages. Even the aspects that we’ve called into question—reducing DHT, including DIM, Chaste Tree Extract, Cyanotis Vaga—are dealt with appropriately by Super Test’s Liver/Kidney Detoxification blend.
Overall, Super Test makes for a very impressive formula with a very impressive list of benefits.
Who Takes It?
Workout Enthusiasts. That’s Beast Sports Nutrition’s words, not ours. Seems a little vague & modest considering Super Test’s “legal steroid” status and pro-hormone protection. Given its intensity, we’d classify Super Test as an intense T-booster for intensely enthusiastic bodybuilders. It’s not a simple T-booster to take simply to boost T. It’ll do much more than that.
Any Side Effects?
Unfortunately, while Super Test possesses many benefits, it seems to have a slightly above average report of side effects for a “natural T-booster.” This may be a consequence of combining 25 ingredients in one capsule. Most symptoms range through:
- Constipation
- GI Discomfort
- Headache
- Mood/Irritability
- Erection Difficulties
However, sticking to Super Test’s directions—i.e. avoiding over-dosages, taking a 4-week break following an 8-week cycle, etc.—should keep its side effects at a “little to none” rating. We’re not too concerned, bro.

Final Word on Super Test
Super Test passes our test with flying colors. Does it have its issues? Yeahhh… But it deals with them like a man—which is to say that instead of fixing those issues, it represses them with other substances… LIKE A MAN! Admittedly, Super Test marks one of the more expensive T-boosters, but its benefits are up there among the best of the best. There’s a lot Super Test does, and it does it all oh so well.
