Six stars, huh? That’s a, uh… pretty heavy rank.
And who gave you the honor, Six Star?
Oh, you gave it to yourself! Well, that actually makes a lot of sense now.
It takes a special form of bold arrogance to rate yourself with such a high value—in many ways, it’s almost necessary to become the greatest in your field, bestowing a sort of “fake-it-til-you-make-it” mentality to your work (SEE: Muhammad Ali, Deion Sanders …Kanye? No, not Kanye).
Unfortunately, too many have twisted this into a lazy “faking-it-equals-making-it” operandi. And, at the moment, Six Star Testosterone Booster looks like it could go either way.

About Six Star Testosterone Booster
From the makers of MuscleTech, Six Star Testosterone Booster is the only T-booster in the Six Star Pro Nutrition series of supplements. Backed by big name athletes, such as Russell Westbrook & Rob Gronkowski, Six Star hopes to dig into the elite echelons of sports nutrition… Unfortunately, if this T-booster is any indication, they still have a ways to go. Formula notes:
- Increases (Free) T: Six Star puts its money on Boron, which is an awesome T-booster… But where’s its crew??
- Adaptogenic: The idea is to optimize the T:Cortisol ratio for enhanced performance, making this an athletically-drive T-booster.
- (Over-)Simple Formula: And that’s about it… We’re wondering if there’s more Six Star could have done with these ingredients.

Wait, is that it? Is there a back-side to this table??
Six Star’s formula uses 4 good ingredients… But are they enough? Let’s find out:
Boron Citrate, 100 mg
We’ll start with the Free (Active) Testosterone Stimulator, our #5 favorite Best 5 T-Booster: Boron.
Most of Six Star’s T-boosting hinges on this manly mineral, namely for its ability to increase levels of (free) testosterone—which essentially sums up its only purpose in this formula. There’s somewhat of a missed opportunity here considering that Boron’s T-boosts multiply when mixed with Magnesium & Vitamin D. Better T-boosters take advantage of this synergy… but we’ll take Boron as a standalone in SixStar, regardless.
Their chosen form of Boron achieves 5 mg of active Boron per every 100 mg, multiply that by 2 for the “Take 1 serving 2 times daily” directive and you’re getting around 10 mg of active Boron per day, which is the adequate daily dosage to raise blood testosterone levels. Good show, Six Star.
Anticatabolic Blend
Thankfully Six Star includes the ingredient dosages in this blend (take notes, manufacturers), showing 386 mg Rhodiola extract and 2.7 mg Gingko extract.
We need to point out a problem: Gingko’s 2.7 mg dosage looks way low… Typically, we’re looking upwards of 120+ mg for Gingko to have any effects, so that 2.7 mg is laughably low.
Maybe Six Star’s ginkgo is a super-concentrated 100:1 extract that justifies the tiny 2.7 mg dose. But if so, why wouldn’t they be boasting about it on the label?
The second issue that we need to mention: One study (referenced by Six Star) suggested that 270 mg of Rhodiola + Gingko enhanced athletic performance by increasing oxygen consumption & lowering fatigue. But Six Star’s dosages are not even close to the study’s; too much Rhodiola and too little Ginkgo.
Rhodiola is an awesome adaptogen herb for anti-stress, performance-enhancement, and yes, even a little T-boost on the side. Six Star’s solid 386 mg looks good here… But, we’d be more impressed with standardizations on both of these herbs.
Calcium, 45 mg
Not a whole lot to say here: 45 mg isn’t much, but calcium supplementation isn’t a bad idea if you’re resistance training—combining the two could potentially increase both free & total testosterone. But, again, 45 mg is looowwwww…
Formula Analysis
Six Star Testosterone Booster is a simple formula, which doesn’t necessarily make it a bad formula… it just makes it a simple formula.
It’s a bad formula for other reasons:
- Boron is the only T-booster. And while it’s an awesome T-booster, its use here looks more like a missed opportunity considering the multiplying synergetic T-boosts it delivers with other common T-boosters (Magnesium & Vitamin D3).
- 7 mg of Gingko? No need to call the Tin-Foil Hat Society on this one, we think we have it figured out: Six Star added a little Ginkgo so it could sticker its product with “clinically studied research” involving Ginkgo & Rhodiola. LAME.
- It’s a simple formula. Wait, what…? Normally, a well-crafted simple formula can go a long way (and therefore, doesn’t immediately label a product as quote-unquote “bad”). Unfortunately, this formula looks more devious than well-crafted, turning its simple formula against itself.
Six Star uses a few good ingredients in a bad way, quickly lowering its grade due to the simplicity (and therefore delicacy) of its formula. Whether this is due to intentions or incompetence, we don’t know—however, one thing that did catch our eye:
- On the Six Star Testosterone Booster website, this product is captioned with the claim: “Test Subjects Increased Testosterone in Just 7 Days.” The wording (especially “Test Subjects”) implies that Six Star Testosterone Booster was clinically researched on “test subjects” to show improvements in testosterone. This isn’t true. This statement is in reference to a boron study, not Six Star itself… Shame, shame…
While Six Star’s Boron qualifies the product as a T-booster, the product’s formula is, well… boring. Plus, it doesn’t look good when you have more than double Other Ingredients than active ingredients.
That’s just… that’s just nasty.
Six Star Testosterone Booster Benefits
The website’s claims for Six Star Testosterone Booster:
- Test Subjects Increased Testosterone in Just 7 Days
- Maintain Peak Testosterone to Cortisol Ratio
- Enhances Training Performance
Six Star’s Boron is sure to Increase Testosterone, as well as the Rhodiola crenulata is sure to Reduce Cortisol. Combined, these effects are sure to Enhance Training Performance.
On this level, the benefits do check out.
We’re hesitant to call this an anabolic, muscle-building supplement, namely because the ingredients they chose don’t directly target muscle-building. Yes, T helps build muscle, but the formula would have better anabolic results if it replaced Ginkgo with, say, Terrestris tribulus (and massively upped the dosage there).
One benefit that isn’t advertised by Six Star: Rhodiola is an awesome nootropic. Aside from lowering stress levels, the plant can help with mood, mental performance, & motivation.
Great mental advantages for all you athletes out there.
Who Takes It?
Mature Athletes. Six Star Testosterone Booster sells itself as an all-natural, scientifically-backed, muscle-building T-booster for men who are below normal T-levels. Ideally, older, active men who are building muscle would benefit from this T-booster—especially if they’re deficient in boron.
Any Side Effects?
Nope. Although, many users reported an increase in morning wood—we’ll consider that a good thing. Boron can be toxic in large dosages, resulting in headaches, convulsions, depression, nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting—luckily, Six Star only offers 10 mg Boron daily (upper daily intake is 20 mg). Also, the herbs aren’t standardized, so it’s hard to say how well they’ll interact with your system.
Six Star Testosterone Booster Summary
Pros

- Adaptogenic Rhodiola. Lowers stress and increases mental performance.
- Cheap-Cheap! Ten bucks per bottle? Hell ya.
Cons
- Missed Opportunity. Boron is awesome, but even awesomer with other T-boosters.
- Looowww Ginkgo. Might as well not even be here.
- No Standardization. Only 4 ingredients and they’re not even top-quality.
- Insincere Marketing. Purposefully misquotes “research” to trick consumers.
- Dirty Label. More Other Ingredients than actual ingredients.

Final Word on Six Star T-Booster
Are you surprised to see this green-lighted? Like we said: Good ingredients, limited formula. While there’s some mismatched synergy here, the Boron & Rhodiola will produce healthier T/Cortisol levels and, therefore, slightly enhanced performance—plus, it’s hard to beat that price. If you’re searching for BIG boosts, meh… You can do better. Yet, Six Star Testosterone Booster can help your athletic goals and give you a little extra rise in the morning, if you catch our drift.
