Prime Male vs. TestoGen smells a little zinky… Could it be the collective 102 mg of Zinc situated between the two supplements?
But what about dat 3,600 mg D-Aspartic Acid, doe? And is that vitamin D3??
Okay, now we’re getting excited. Like a lion trailing the scent of a bleeding gazelle, we smell some good shit here—our only wonder is how much of this good shit belongs to the defending champ, our T-king of the jungle: Prime Male.
Or, dare we say it… does the trail lead to TestoGen? Let’s find out:

Round 1: Formulas
What do want us to say, that it’s going to be a close one? We’ve said that before and Prime Male still came out by far victorious.
But even then… It’s hard to find fault with TestoGen’s ingredient choices.
Prime Male creates Multiplying T-Boosting Synergy.
Best5’s ring-side regulars already know that Prime Male enters this fight with a spectacular Undefeated 4-0 Record. And it’s no wonder why—Prime Male has:
- All of our Top Best5 T-Boosters. D-Aspartic Acid, Zinc, Mucuna Pruriens, Vitamin D, and Boron.
- 9x+ T-boosting Synergy. Directly & indirectly boosting T by neutralizing T-binding SHGB, inhibiting estrogen, and increasing T production.
Prime Male’s synergy is nothing less than brilliant: K2 potentiates D3 which magnifies Magnesium’s effects which further potentiate D3; Nettle and Boron neutralize SHGB in 3 different ways—toss in Luteolin and you’re also neutralizing estrogen in 2 different ways.
And to top it all off: BioPerine helps increase nutrient absorption, further boosting the formula’s bio-effects.
TestoGen provides “TESTOSTERONE TRIPLE ACTION.”
Although they don’t explain exactly how or what that even means, TestoGen uses an impressive mix of manly herbs and 3 of our top Best5 T-Boosters: D-Aspartic Acid, Zinc, and Vitamin D.
The herbs aren’t necessarily the greatest T-boosters available, but they’re awesome sex-enhancers:
- Panax Ginseng & Fenugreek, in particular, offer potentially modest T-boosts, in addition to increasing your strength & libido. Plus, Panax’s lift in DHT complements Fenugreek’s decrease in the manly hormone.
In terms of mood, you’re sure to also “feel good” with TestoGen’s variety of B vitamins (B2, B5, B6)—which help elevate testosterone, energy, and mood.
However, compared to Prime Male, we’re seeing a remarkable lack of T-boosting synergy with TestoGen. Other than the complementary effects of Ginseng & Fenugreek, TestoGen’s ingredients offer plain & simple T-boosts.
The formula is good, but not enough to take down the Lion.
Round 1… Prime Male Wins.
Round 2: Dosages
First things first: Let’s give up to both supplements for not using any God-awful proprietary blends.
We can actually SEE the dosages!
Unfortunately, seeing what we can see, we might have to call this fight early… Look at that Zinc dosage on TestoGen’s label:
- 72 mg?! That’s a lot of Zinc. What’s worse, that 97% DV is wildly inaccurate—15 mg of Zinc equals 100% DV, which means that 72 mg rounds out to 480% DV.
Considering that too much Zinc can potentially lead to prostrate problems, we have to slap TestoGen with a fat, ugly disqualification.
Which is a shame—TestoGen might have gained the upper hand on Prime Male by having 400 mg more D-Aspartic Acid than Prime Male (although, TestoGen’s D3 count is verrry low).
Because Prime Male’s dosages all look good (and won’t potentially kill our prostates), we’re given them the second round of the night.
Round 2… Prime Male Wins.
Round 3: Ingredient Quality
At this point it feels like we’re—oh, how does that phrase go… ah, yes—beating a dead horse.
Prime Male so far is undeniably better than TestoGen. Technically, Prime Male already won. This round is solely for the morbid types who get off to watching lions feast on their pray.
If we’re to forget about that whole Zinc incident, TestoGen would still be the inferior T-booster in round 3 for using the cheaper forms of D-Aspartic Acid & Zinc, as well as lacking any standardization for its herbs.
Prime Male, being the sweetheart that it is, offers not only the best ingredients, but the best ingredient forms: High-potent extracts, absorbable aminos, expensive vitamins & minerals… They’re truly… beautiful.
No, I’m not crying. That’s just… allergies.
Round 3… Prime Male Wins.
Round 4: Price
Prime Male | VS. | TestoGen
1 Bottle (30-day supply) | $69.00 | 1 Bottle (30-day supply) | $54.95
Price Per Capsule | $0.58 | Price Per Capsule | $0.46
Price Per Serving | $2.30 | Price Per Serving | $1.83 |
Round 4… TestoGen.
Round 5: JUDGEMENT
Admittedly, it’s tough putting down TestoGen. If it weren’t for the whole Zinc debacle, we’d actually recommend TestoGen as a T-booster that works. Which is surprising considering its other RED FLAGS:
- TestoGen’s website fails to include the Supp Facts. This is a huge RED FLAG, perhaps up there with prop blends.
- Customer Service has been outsourced to Dubai. “Mailing Address” is in Glasgow, “Contact Information” is in Dubai.
Before even stepping into the ring, TestoGen’s prospects were doubtful. It’s just a strange supplement… we were fairly confident it was a scam before analyzing the formula.
For these reasons and more, we’re siding with Prime Male (again). It sets the bar high, and, frankly, we’re wondering if any other T-booster will come along to top it.
But, until then, tally up another win for your current Champion of the World…
PRIME MALE
