Here’s the problem with the BRO brain:
If we have something, we don’t want it.
If we lose something, then we’ll take down every last one of you sum’bitches until we get it back [SEE: Taken, starring BRO legend Liam Neeson].
Right now our BRO brains are on the fence with this T-booster, Nova-X, which we have, but may not have in the near future due to its (that’s right) steroid content… This creates a special confusion for the BRO brain…
Let’s see if this review helps:

About Nova-X
Following their financial issues of 2014, Gaspari Nutrition came back with their first return product: Nova-X. As a re-entry into the T-boosting game, Nova-X definitely qualifies as a legit T-booster… But is it too legit? Formula notes:
- Androsterone: Is this even legal? Currently, the answer is yes: Androsterone extracted from pine pollen is legal for use in T-boosting supplements.
- Five Ingredient Synergy: Even though there are 7 ingredients, Nova-X essentially boosts T from 5 different angles—the 2 remaining ingredients acting as support.
- LipoAbsorb™: Hell ya that’s a trademark. Nova-X’s LipoAbsorb protects its tablets from stomach acid, allowing the formula to achieve absorption in the intestine.

Nova-X aggressively boosts T with its “Five Ingredient Synergy” + BONUS.
If Quentin Tarantino were to “direct” a T-booster, it’d look something like this formula. Based on the Supp Facts, Nova-X seems to violently shoot at T-boosting from all angles, hitting with high-potent compounds that can potentially FUNK YOUR SHIT UP.
For instance, check out the formula’s first ingredient, Androsterone—which is a steroid:
Androsterone, 50 mg
Sold as a “natural metabolite” of DHEA, a WADA banned T-precursor, Androsterone is a legal, yet potent pro-hormone alternative naturally found in pine pollen—essentially tree sperm.
Due to its low oral bioavailability, most products have strayed away from this… But Nova-X’s LipoAbsorb™ technology seems to enhance Androsterone absorption, giving Nova-X major semi-pro-hormone increases in anabolic muscle mass.
Is Androsterone a Steroid? Technically, yes. A plant steroid, but a compound registered by the body as a steroid all the same. Currently, due to its extraction from a natural source (pine pollen), androsterone can be sold as a natural, legal ingredient. However, stay tuned on how the FDA or DEA reacts to this as the 2014 DASCA act may or may not be used against it.
Mucuna Pruriens, 250 mg
Ranking at #3 on our BIG LIST of T-Boosters (hell ya), Mucuna Pruriens is looking fiiine here at this high potent, high dosage 98% L-DOPA standardized extract.
If Androsterone is a semi-pro-hormone, then L-DOPA is a pro-transmitter, working as the neuro-precursor for dopamine, which enhances feeling wellbeing and happiness (i.e. dopeness). L-DOPA is especially exciting in a T-booster formula for its stimulation of the pituitary gland, triggering the release of LH (which consequently triggers T-synthesis) and Human Growth Hormone (HGH)—which is a hormone that helps humans… grow.
Toxicodendron Vernicifluum Extract, 100 mg
Gaspari Nutrition calls this the “most potent non-androgenic aromatase inhibitor ever sold.” And you know what, dammit: Who knows, they might be right.
Research suggests that Butein, the active compound of Toxicodendron Vernicifluum, possesses powerful anti-aromatase action within the “natural” range of male biology. It seems to push the limit on aromatase inhibition, but not to an unhealthy degree.
In effect, Toxicodendron Vernicifluum potentially acts as the E-blocker in this formula.
Diosterol™, 200 mg
This patented, concentrated Dioscorea Nipponica Makino Extract has the potential to work as a decent indirect T-booster… or as another Tribulus Terrestris type of plant—which is to say: not at all.
Herbs heavy in the saponins theoretically show T-boosting potential due to these compounds promotion of LH, but as Tribulus shows, this doesn’t necessarily equal out to higher T levels.
Aside, from saponins, Diosterol is standardized for Laxogenin, which has X-Factor potential in this formula—maybe it boosts T, maybe it doesn’t. As far as we know, it might be anti-inflammatory that inadvertently increases T, but we’re waiting on the research to fully support this.
DHT Inhibiting Complex, 210 mg
This complex contains two ingredients:
- Pygeum Africanum
- Saw Palmetto Berry
These ingredients you may have heard of if you’ve fallen victim to male pattern baldness. Pygeum Africanum & Saw Palmetto are popular hair-restoration substances for their inhibition of T to DHT conversion. This is based on the association between excess DHT and baldness.
But, check it, BRO: DHT is a manlier, more active hormone than T.
Technically, DHT inhibition boosts T, but this obviously comes at the cost of less DHT… and we’re not sure if that’s the greatest idea, dood.
N-Methyl-D-Aspartic Acid, 30 mg
You know what’s our favorite T-booster? D-ASPARTIC ACID, BABY. Some of the most popular T-boosters rely on DAA as their primary ingredient, and with good reason: It’s proven to directly boost T. And typically we recommend it in its highly potent D-Aspartic Acid Calcium Chelate form, but Nova-X hits us with DAA that’s even more potent:
N-Methyl-D-Aspartic Acid (NMDA).
This shit is pharmaceutical grade DAA, which is why you’re seeing this small 30 mg dosage. The general claim is that NMDA is 100 times more potent than DAA, so this 30 mg seems appropriate—we don’t want your nuts to blow up, BRO!
Formula Analysis
First impression: Nova-X is some HEAVY ass shit!
(ass-shit, bro? come on… gross)
Our first impression before that first impression was that Nova-X was lacking in the dosage department for a few ingredients, but now that we’ve seen how potent they all are, we’re wondering if there’s perhaps too much going on here.
One thing’s for sure: This is no run-of-the-mill T-booster.
Nova-X is powerful, utilizing a “five ingredient synergy” quoted by the manufacturers as:
- Androsterone – providing raw T material.
- Mucuna Pruriens – promoting LH (and HGH) secretion.
- Toxicodendron Vernicifluum – inhibiting aromatase.
- N-Methyl-D-Aspartic Acid – directly increasing T-synthesis.
- DHT Inhibiting Complex – complex that, well… inhibits DHT.
Diosterol tops the formula as a BONUS “maybe-it-will-maybe-it-won’t-work” ingredient. At the least it doesn’t seem to be doing any harm in this formula, so we’re fine with it being here.
On the whole, we’re impressed (slightly scared, massively riled) by this formula and its hyper-aggressive take on testosterone. Despite being “natural” it’s only a stone’s throw away from pro-hormone status, and, frankly, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the FDA get involved here.
Nova-X Benefits
On top of their “five ingredient synergy” spiel, Gaspari Nutritions slaps 5 benefit claims on Nova-X—which are:
- Optimizes total T levels
- Increases free T levels
- Reduces estrogen levels
- Promotes increased size & strength
- Stimulates natural T production
And according to the “five ingredient synergy” spiel, plus the associated science with most of Nova-X’s ingredients, these claims check out.
All-in-all, we’d expect you to primarily notice the A) increased size & strength, and B) enhanced sex drive—because this seems to be the “thing” that every BRO talks about when they find an effective T-booster they like.
Who Takes It?
VETERAN Bros. Nova-X isn’t for beginners nor pansies. It’s intense T-boosting for intense gains designed for intense athletes. Labelling it as sports nutrition seems too modest for a supplement of this caliber. Less advanced users should begin with a milder, yet effective athletic T-booster before jumping into this semi-pro-hormone product.
Any Side Effects?
So long as you’re sticking to the directions, you should be fine. This means you’ll need to space out your servings by 8 hours and limit your servings to 2 per day. And, most importantly, cycle Nova-X for 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off.
Theoretically, you should also be fine using this product without a PCT (Post-Cycle Therapy) follow-up—we say theoretically because there are PCT items built into the formula already. Yet, given the potency of these ingredients, and the mystery of a few compounds, we’d recommend to at least consider PCT supplementation with Nova-X.
Nova-X Summary
Pros
- Potent T-Boosts. Like ecstasy for your balls. It’ll definitely get your stones rolling.
- 5 Ingredient Synergy. Sounds like a cheap gimmick, but actually makes sense.
- HGH Support. T-boosts plus HGH for even more anabolic goodness.
- Non-Proprietary. With this formula we need to know the dosages.
Cons
- Semi-Pro-Hormone. Don’t be surprised if the FDA targets Nova-X in the near future.
- DHT Inhibition. For many, this may potentially be bad, mmmkay.
- Speculative Ingredients. Some compounds need more research to fully seal the deal.

Final Word on Nova-X
With Nova-X, it isn’t even a question of Will it work. Because, YES, Nova-X will work. Our only concern: Is it enough to blow up your testicles? Odds are not really. Bear in mind, Nova-X is still literally derived from natural sources and legally a “natural” product. While it technically contains a steroid, we doubt it’ll funk up your shit like legit anabolic steroids. Even so, we recommend Nova-X only to elite T-boosters. How does one achieve eliteness? You start here.
