In the olden days, getting BIG & porky was the mark of man.
For the previous generation, it was getting BIG & beefy.
But the Modern Man, the man of today, has slimmed it down even further, focusing strictly on the getting BIG part while eschewing the porky, beefy, chunky bits — burning it down to the bare essentials of man: Bone-Hard Muscle.
And how has the modern man accomplished this? With borderline-illegal, questionably-unhealthy PEA-like STIMULATION, BABY.
About Modern Man
Modern Man tells it to us straight: This is a 2-in-1 Intense Testosterone Boosting Thermogenic designed for the (you guessed it) modern man — not the old man or the young man but the just ripe & right adult-gen man. Formula notes:
- 2-in-1 T & Thermogenesis: Modern Man mixes T-boosts with (presumably*) natural thermogenic stimulation. (*Presumably because it’s untested.)
- IR Testosterone Elevating Complex: Non-proprietary blend of libido boosters, free T elevators, & small, potent sample of NMDA.
- Focus-XS Clean Energy Complex: Non-proprietary blend of ~55:45 caffeine + Eria Jarensis extract, the potentially new thing for bodybuilding stimulation.

2-in-1 Testosterone Elevation & Clean Energy for “The Ideal Male Physique.”
Ideal isn’t a word you want to be throwing around in your ad copy. It’s an easy target for a smart-ass literalist, like the author of this review: Ideal to whom? What objectively measures IDEAL?? etc.
But of course I’m just being a smart ass. We know what ideal is (SEE: the manliest man of them all, a straight paragon of manliness: Ernest F*ckn Hemingway). The irony being that such ideal men never needed an IR Testosterone Elevating Complex:
IR Testosterone Elevating Complex
Interestingly, this isn’t the IR Testosterone Elevating Complex advertised by certain online retailers, such as GNC, which lists presumably an older Modern Man formulation: Tribulus, Fenugreek, Eurycoma Longifolia, & DHEA. We consider this new list a slight upgrade, considering that dietary DHEA doesn’t really do much — although the tiny dosage of NMDA is also questionable.
Check it out:
Tribulus Terrestris Extract – Potent extract of Tribulus saponins buuut… Trib isn’t much of a T-booster, simply elevating libido without touching sex hormones. Not bad for male health but not a true T-booster.
Fenugreek Seed Extract – Another potent extract of a true T-booster, or rather free T-booster, Fenugreek, an SHBG & 5-alpha reductase inhibitor (that will make your sweat & urine smell nice & maple syrupy).
Maca Root – Similar to Trib, Maca is great for male health, enhancing sexual & physical performance & energy, but doesn’t do much of anything for testosterone.
Ashwagandha Extract – Ashwagandha feels good & groovy, relieving the mind & body from stress & anxiety while enhancing T & stamina. One of the better adaptogens on the market.
NMDA – Believed to be way more potent than your standard D-Aspartic Acid, or D-AA-CC (the #1 booster on our BIG List of T-Boosters) — although we’re not sure about this 15 mg dosage and the questions of toxicity that still linger around this DAA analogue.
Focus-XS Clean Energy Complex
This blend delivers the advertised “STAY IN THAT ZONE” aspect of this formula, supplying a 55:45 complex of caffeine & Eria Jarensis extract (natural stimulant):
Caffeine Anhydrous – Doesn’t need an explanation: Caffeine is a stimulant through-&-through. Not quite in the nootropic region of brain enhancement but a reliable energy agent.
Eria Jarensis Extract – N-phenethyldimethylamine, an Eria Jarensis compound, is being touted in the bodybuilding community as the next big thing for euphoric PEA-like stimulation — however, research hasn’t caught up to it yet to determine if it’s safe or not. We’ll see how long this one plays out on the market.
“Clean Energy” is a stretch — caffeine is one of the dirtiest ingredients in the supplement biz and N-phenethyldimethylamine is an untested stimulant — but the complex may further Modern Man’s fat-burning agenda.
Modern Man isn’t just a straight, simple testosterone booster. It’s multi-dimensional, just like the true men of the modern age. And perhaps the feminists are right about modern men: The masculinity contained within this product is potentially toxic.
Not really but the potential is there, hinging on two ingredients:
- N-Methyl-D-Aspartic Acid (NMDA)
The former being a super potent version of the B5 favorite D-Aspartic Acid and the latter being one of the latest post-ephedra stimulants that shares a backbone structure with other risky stimulants, e.g., amphetamine.
But that’s the point, right?
Unlike other 2-in-1 nootropic T-boosters, Modern Man switches the brain healthy nootropic aspect with hair-raising mental & physical stimulation, the type not for crushing exams & mental workdays but for tossing tons of metal in the air and putting it back down, over & over again, because …well, we’re men and that’s what we do, I guess.
Having said that Modern Man might be erring too much on the side of stimulation over T-healthy boosts (again, look at that NMDA dosage), but that might be okay considering that most men who will be supplementing this booster likely already have functional T levels.
Modern Man Benefits
Modern Man claims it was formulated to support:
- Reborn Focus
- Healthy Testosterone Levels
- Stress Debasement
- Clean Energy Rush
- Lean Muscle Composition
“Reborn Focus” is a little creepy & wrong (were we dead before?) but Modern Man seems to have the right ingredients for healthier T levels and lean muscle composition, both of which are accomplished by a decrease in hormonal stress and an increase in thermogenic energy, i.e., soon-to-be-illegal-probably herbal stimulation.
Who Takes It?
Modern Men. Not the old hoagies of the past or the young bright shining stars of the future but men, i.e., 25 to 35 aged doods, who have visited the gym enough times to craft a body big enough and are looking for that extra stimulative motivation to overcome the next plateau.
Any Side Effects?
That’s sort of the big question here, huh? While Modern Man’s ads display a “RISK FREE PROMISE” we’re still hesitant to give a full pass on NMDA & Eria Jarensis extract. The customer reviews seem practically devoid of side effect reports — although they’re also suspiciously comprehensive & well-written for Amazon customer reviews.
Our recommendation: Supplement Modern Man with caution — limit caffeine intake, don’t exceed the serving limit, etc.
Modern Man Summary
- 2-in-1 T & Energy. The hybrid PWO T-booster design works.
- Unique. Modern Man doesn’t have many competitors for this design.
- Potent. The herbal extracts are way potent, the stimulant is *fire* *fire* *fire*
- Risky. NMDA & Eria Jarensis aren’t backed by comprehensive research.
- NMDA Dosage. Although is that even enough to have an effect?
- Pretty Pills. Modern Man’s capsules are full of unnecessary junk additives.

Final Word on Modern Man
Modern Man works for lean bodybuilding muscle composition. That seems fair to say. Does it produce healthy optimized test levels to the likes of the top T-boosters available? Probably not tbh. It’ll help T status, but we don’t consider it a fully comprehensive test enhancer — some of which must be sacrificed to fit the 2-in-1 design. All-in-all, one of the better T + stimulant products we’ve seen.
