Whey protein concentrate is 70 to 80 percent protein – it is not as pure as its whey protein isolate counterpart, which is at least 90 percent protein. Thus, WPC has more carbs, fats, and lactose content (if you’re lactose intolerant, we suggest you try a whey protein isolate supplement instead). Because of this, WPC tends to be bigger on flavor than WPI. That’s one upside, folks.
Notice the manufacturer also emphasizes the high branch-chained amino acid (BCAA) content of whey protein. When you talk about BCAAs, the superstar is leucine.
