Round 1: Formulas
NITRAFLEX and ALTIUS are two of the most impressive and well-designed PWOs in the market today. Both have their share of potent ingredient combinations and both can offer extraordinary performance in the gym. As good as they are, though, they share a distinct difference.
NITRAFLEX is all about maximum intensity for maximum lifts
NITRAFLEX’s formulation is all about stronger lifts with a touch of accelerated recovery post workout.
They made use of a big prop blend which also reveals three other prop blends for their specific functions namely: Vasoactive Arginase-Regulating NO Precursor Complex (Pump blend), Acute Energy, Focus, Intensity, Neuromodulating, Endurance Complex (Energy and Focus blend), and Clinically-Studied Testosterone-Enhancing Complex (CFB).
Their Pump blend starts strong with two forms of Citrulline and Arginine. We’re not entirely sure why they would use two forms of each but we won’t question them on that given the legendary reputation of these two PWOs when it comes to boosting performance and promoting massive pumps. They also made us of Pterostilbene to further support the NO boost.
Their Energy and Focus blend contains a mix of performance enhancers and nootropics. For performance, NITRAFLEX gives us Beta Alanine as Carnosyn®, one of its most premium forms. For nootropics, we have DMAE, NALT, and Theanine all of which are known to boost focus above all. Last, we have Rauwolscine which contains yohimbine and acts as both stimulant and fat burner.
The third “blend” is for a good T boost and is made up of just one ingredient called Calcium Fructopyranose Borate (CFB). CFB is a Boron compound and Boron just happens to be our #5 Best Testosterone Booster. It’s also something we don’t see every day in a PWO, so plus points for taking that angle!
Still, if you’re serious about performance and muscle gains via T-boosting, you are better off taking a premium testosterone booster supplement — the best ones supply more boron and more T-booster compounds.
Last but not the least is Caffeine and lots of it. Talk about intense energy!
ALTIUS is all about big names in the industry.
One look at the label and you’ll know the makers of ALTIUS weren’t playing around. They start off with the best form of Vitamin B12, a vitamin often neglected when it comes to quality. They also supplied us with Sodium and Potassium for muscle hydration, a thoughtful gesture if anything.
Now let’s get down to business. ALTIUS gets a huge start with their Core Performance blend. They start strong with Citrulline Malate, Beta Alanine, Creatine Monohydrate, and Betaine Anhydrous, all of which are top picks for standalone PWOs. Not to mention Citrulline and Creatine are capable of providing muscle growth and recovery post workout.
Caffeine is their primary source of energy while Alpha GPC is their choice for focus. They finish with a premium brand of Black Pepper called BioPerine® which we view as a staple when it comes to boosting absorption of any supplement.
In conclusion of the first round, NITRAFLEX made use of ingredients meant to give you the best lifts you could ever want but ALTIUS goes beyond gym day and gives your muscles food for growth and recovery post workout. This round goes to ALTIUS for thinking about both pre- and post-workout, and also because it has creatine, one of the most sought after ingredient in every PWO.
Round 1… ALTIUS Wins.
Round 2: Dosages
It’s pretty obvious who’ll win this round as NITRAFLEX straights up hides their dosages unlike ALTIUS who has nothing to hide and everything to show for.
True enough, NITRAFLEX might have the dosages right but who can say which one has the most weight? The only real dosage they show is with their Niacin and Caffeine.
ALTIUS, on the other hand, proves to everyone what being clinically dosed is all about. Each ingredient packs punch so hard you can almost feel the shaker hit you in the face with each gulp. And just take a look at that scoop! That ain’t no teaspoon for sure bro!
Even with NITRAFLEX’s “huge” 10 g scoop size, ALTIUS’ 20 gram scoop just gives a lot more room for potency.
For being impressively transparent, and for having plenty of leg room, ALTIUS takes the cake once again.
Round 2… ALTIUS Wins.
Round 3: Ingredient Quality
Both NITRAFLEX and ALTIUS have an impressive array of ingredients which definitely tells buyers their product is worth every cent. Since both are so good at formulating, let’s nitpick on the goodies and baddies for more focus.
The Good
NITRAFLEX makes use of a premium brand of Beta-Alanine called Carnosyn® and anyone who knows half their shit recognizes it as a cut above the rest for potency and purity.
ALTIUS’ only branded ingredient is BioPerine® but don’t underestimate that small 5 mg dose: It still enhances bioavailability of low-dosed ingredients, making low doses more potent.
The Bad
NITRAFLEX listing their ingredients as technical mumbo jumbo won’t make us shy away from noticing the quality of their ingredients. Also, that’s what Google’s for.
The only drawback we see is with that one Citrulline form, you know, the plain and ordinary Citrulline. Maybe it’s for cost reduction but the formula could’ve been so much more had they went with 100% Citrulline Malate instead of a lesser hybrid.
For ALTIUS, the only deal breaker we see is with their use of Alpha-GPC over our #1 Nootropic, Cognizin. Suffice to say, it’s still a great ingredient, just not the best of them.
It’s a tough decision as both supplement’s Good ingredients offer redeeming points but this round will just have to go to ALTIUS for not really having a real drawback.
Let’s face it: Alpha GPC isn’t bad. It only looks bad when compared to Cognizin, but on its own it’s a solid nootropic.
Round 3… ALTIUS Wins.
Round 4: Price
NITRAFLEX | VS. | ALTIUS | ||
1 Bottle (30-day supply) | $32.49 | 1 Bottle (20-day supply) | $39 | |
Price Per Serving | $1.08 | Price Per Serving | $1.95 |
Round 4… NITRAFLEX Wins.
Round 5: JUDGEMENT
NITRAFLEX’s fancy gimmicks can only go so far against ALTIUS’ tried and tested demeanor. Truth be told, there’s really nothing exciting about ALTIUS. In fact, it might give you the impression that it’s not even trying to be something new. Regardless, the fact that you know what to expect from its label means a lot for a lot of supplement fanatics and only the real lifters recognize what works and what doesn’t.
That kind of recognition is reflected in today’s battle.
We see ALTIUS winning 3-1 with formulation, dosage, and quality and only losing to NITRAFLEX on price and long term affordability. The only problem we see with ALTIUS is the pricing.
ALTIUS can just be too expensive for some but for those who can afford it, we’re telling your right now it’s worth every cent.
In the NITRAFLEX vs. ALTIUS fight, the winner by a SPLIT Decision is…
ALTIUS
