OptiMind and Mind Lab Pro look like they are related.
Just check out the bottle: They got the same white, clean & clinical look. Even the color schemes are similar.
But looks can be deceiving.
And when we put these doppelgängers in the ring to duke it out, it becomes clear which one is the real deal. Now, fight!

Round 1: Formulas
OptiMind and Mind Lab Pro share 4 of the same ingredients: Tyrosine, Bacopa, PS, Vinpocetine. Three of those are in our Best 5 Nootropics.
OptiMind, however, brings its ingredients together for one main purpose: To boost neurotransmitters. And they really do choose some great nootropics for that purpose.
Mind Lab Pro, on the other hand, is formulated to boost neurotransmitters AND 5 other brain pathways, including mental energy, brain circulation, alpha brain waves, brain regeneration & brain protection.
So don’t be fooled — even though they look similar, and use some of the same ingredients, these two formulas take completely different strategies to boost brainpower.
OptiMind tries to do one thing well, and Mind Lab Pro tries to do everything well.
There’s really no contest — Mind Lab Pro is a vastly superior formula to OptiMind. That will become more obvious in the next sections. But for formulas alone…
Round 1… Mind Lab Pro Wins.
Round 2: Dosages
This is where OptiMind really starts to take a beating. Mainly because they don’t show any of their dosages. And that’s after starting with a relatively low 1500 mg serving size (approximately).
Keep in mind, one of those OptiMind ingredients is caffeine, probably dosed pretty high to create the illusion of nootropic alertness.
Mind Lab Pro on the other hand doesn’t waste capsule space on caffeine. They show dosages for every one of their 11 ingredients, and each one hits clinical range.
This is one reason why Mind Lab Pro is turning into a big deal.
The brilliance behind Mind Lab Pro’s formulation: The nootropics in there work, they synergize together, and they all hit that dosage sweet spot to unlock brain-boosting benefits.
At this point, it looks like Mind Lab Pro is giving OptiMind a good old-fashioned beat down, with one hand tied behind its back.
Round 2… Mind Lab Pro Wins
Round 3: Ingredient Quality
OptiMind has a couple of premium quality ingredients. They use a quality standardized form of Bacopa, precisely calibrated to supply 50% bacosides… which is actually slightly more potent than Mind Lab Pro’s 45% bacosides.
OptiMind’s SERINAID is a premium form of PS, too, derived from soy. Mind Lab Pro uses Sharp-PS, another quality branded form of the nootropic that instead is made from sunflower.
That’s pretty much it for OptiMind’s premium ingredients, but Mind Lab Pro keeps going, especially with its big hitter: Cognizin® Citicoline, the best form of our #1-ranked Best Nootropic.
One more note on ingredient quality: Both of these supplements include tyrosine. But only Mind Lab Pro uses N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine (NALT), the superior form that brings brain benefits.
OptiMind’s plain tyrosine just isn’t as good for mental performance.
Round 3… Mind Lab Pro Wins.
Round 4: Price
OptiMind | vs. | Mind Lab Pro
1 bottle (16 servings) | $43.31 | 1 Bottle (30 servings) | $65
Per capsule | $1.35 | Per capsule | $1.08
Per serving | $2.70 | Per serving | $2.16 |
Round 4… Mind Lab Pro Wins.
Round 5: JUDGEMENT
Mind Lab Pro versus OptiMind is not a fair fight.
OptiMind had just way too many formula flaws. It takes a narrow focus on an incredibly complex organ. All dosages are hidden, which is a huge problem when facing off against the transparent label like Mind Lab Pro.
And we’ve got to take an X-factor into account here, which is OptiMind’s lousy reputation. They have scammed a lot of consumers, and are notoriously difficult with their customer service. Stuff like this really weakens the brand.
In OptiMind defense, their selection of nootropics is outstanding. And it’s nice that they pick a couple of quality branded ingredients and throw in the mix. It’s almost a great formula.
But Mind Lab Pro is already a great formula. In fact, it’s our #1-ranked nootropic stack supplement. All the details that OptiMind fails at Mind Lab Pro masters.
Mind Lab Pro has more premium ingredients, and remarkably potent dosages of each, which are proudly displayed on the label.
If we go a little deeper, we can see the Mind Lab Pro is more intelligently designed, too.
MLP boosts overall brainpower by targeting several different brain pathways. They do this by design and it’s a great idea — leaving us scratching our heads over why OptiMind would be so intent on boosting neurotransmitters only.
In the end, OptiMind is badly outclassed by a championship-caliber fighter. No judges needed for this one.
The winner of OptiMind vs. Mind Lab Pro, by brutal KO…
MIND LAB PRO
