Round 1: Formulas
Both Zantrex Black and Xenadrine Core look to contain lots of popular and odd ingredient choices for fat burners but today we’ll see if these ingredients actually belong in a fat-burning supplement that works or if they’re just added to make simple formulas look intimidating.
Zantrex Black is all about how much caffeine you can take
Zantrex Black starts pretty strong with Caffeine and its vegan relatives Yerba Mate, Guarana, and Kola Nut. We all know what Caffeine is capable of and having multiple sources assures us of at least one thing: You’ll burn fat and be brimming with energy.
It then follows it up with TWO types of tea extracts: Green Tea and Black Tea. Tea extracts, especially Green Tea, are known staples in the fat-burning industry and have the clinical studies to prove their claim as the most potent fat burner today. It tops off the fat burning ingredients with leptin-manipulating Cacao Extracts.
To help mitigate the side effects of caffeine are Rhodiola, Maca, and Ginseng which also happen to be adaptogens capable of reducing exercise-related stress. Damiana works well with Yerba Mate and Guarana for an appetite suppressant effect and Black Pepper boosts nutrient absorption.
We still don’t know why Schizonepeta was added since it’s just an anti-inflammatory herb at most and nothing else.
Xenadrine Core offers a steady and solid fat burning sensation
Xenadrine Core comes out strong with Green Coffee Bean Extract as the premium brand Svetol. It then matches it with the old Caffeine-Theanine stack capable of boosting energy and burning fat while mitigating the side effects of caffeine. Then we have standardized Yohimbe and Coleus extract for both fat burning and T boosting.
Like Zantrex Black, Xenadrine Core is also fond of using herbs. White Kidney Bean is an ingredient known to block carbs from being converted to fat, Caraway is known to suppress appetite, Mangosteen and Perilla boost muscle recovery, and Gotu Kola is another source of caffeine but with a release-delay function which should give you a burst of late-game energy which might help prevent crashing.
From the looks of it, Zantrex Black is a caffeine-charged fat burner with herbs on top while Xenadrine Core capitalizes on a more even burn with herbal support on the side.
However, if we have to pick a winner: Xenadrine Core gains the edge over Zantrex Black by not being fully dependent on caffeine (which is good for long term) while simultaneously providing what looks like a decent dose of the nootropic Theanine for the jitters, however mild, you would get. It also gets plus point for having a more even approach at fat burning (which is ideal) since caffeine can only do so much on its own.
Round 1… Xenadrine Core Wins.
Round 2: Dosages
These two decided to go with a prop blend but at least Xenadrine Core had the decency to show us how much caffeine it’s packing so we tip our hats to that!
Because of that tiny peek of information, we can therefore try to guesstimate some of the ingredients in Xenadrine Core. Zantrex Black will just have to settle for a good ‘ol fashioned guessing game.
Zantrex Black starts out with three sources of Caffeine: Yerba Mate, Guarana, and actual Caffeine plus a dash of Kola Nut. Four sources of caffeine in one capsule without any decent nootropic is usually met with caution. We can make all the assumptions we want but one thing’s for certain: It’s impossible for each one to hit minimal dosages specially with thirteen ingredients vying for space.
Even if we say Zantrex Black got the first four or five ingredients right, what does that leave the rest of the formula? Almost nothing, bro!
Xenadrine Core’s formulation tells us it has at least 150 mg of Green Coffee Bean Extract and Caffeine. Let’s say these two make up 300 mg so that leaves around 320 mg for the other eight. It looks bad but not as bad as Zantrex Black specially since Xenadrine Core guarantees at least two to three high quality ingredients reaching minimal effective dosages while only the man above knows what Zantrex Black is hiding from us.
No questions about this one. We’d rather take our chances with a supplement that gives us a hint at efficacy than a supplement that hides them.
Round 2… Xenadrine Core Wins.
Round 3: Ingredient Quality
Zantrex Black does not appear to make use of any standardized or branded ingredients on top of hiding dosages. Not cool, bro. It’s like you’re telling everyone you can lift your max but don’t reveal what your max is and what kind of lift you’re doing. It gives us trust issues.
Xenadrine Core on the other hand gives us standardized Green Coffee Bean Extract, Coleus, and Yohimbe, three ingredients capable of intense fat-burning made even more potent.
Xenadrine Core definitely grabs this round by a mile.
Round 3… Xenadrine Core Wins.
Round 4: Price
Xenadrine Core | VS. | Zantrex Black
1 Bottle (39-day supply) | $19.99 | 1 Bottle (84 soft gels) | $39.99
Price Per Capsule | $0.25 | Price Per Capsule | $0.48
Price Per Serving | $0.25 | Price Per Serving | $0.95 |
Round 4… Xenadrine Core Wins.
Round 5: JUDGEMENT
Zantrex Black and Xenadrine Core appeared to be both hardcore and extreme fat burners but appearances can be deceiving as this battle has shown. Even our star ratings agree with us:
- We’re talking 1.7 (Zantrex Black) vs. 4.0 (Xenadrine Core) out of 5 stars.
This is the difference between a newb and a pro.
We normally wouldn’t consider going for Zantrex Black unless you get it for free or if you have some weird caffeine fetish to fulfill. It’s practically a fairy-dusted caffeine pill, bro. No dosages, poor forms, expensive, it’s like they don’t want you to buy them!
So obviously, our hands go to Xenadrine Core for at least trying to live up to its claims of being hardcore.
In the Zantrex Black vs. Xenadrine Core, the winner by a LANDSLIDE Decision is…
